DNHN - Since the province was re-established until now, Vinh Phuc has worked to link socioeconomic development with urban development. Investments have been made at the same time, and the city is getting a more civilized and modern look step by step.
Based on information and communication technology, the Vinh Phuc smart city development model was made with the goals of sustainable socioeconomic development, green growth, and responding to climate change in mind (ICT). Specifically, a smart city is made up of 5 layers that are all put in place at the same time. These layers are the natural ecosystem, the urban technical infrastructure, the urban space, the digital infrastructure, and the service infrastructure.
Vinh Phuc is slowly building and finishing a nice, modern city that meets people's needs well. In the past few years, Vinh Phuc has been very serious about running the government and planning for construction investments. The majority of investment money goes to projects in the areas of social welfare, technical infrastructure, and urban framework infrastructure.
At the moment, Vinh Phuc's infrastructure has been slowly improved to meet the needs of social and economic development. It is one of the fastest-growing provinces in the country and is a good place for foreign and domestic investors to put their money.
These accomplishments are important if Vinh Phuc wants to meet the grade I urban standard shortly. To put the long-term plan of building a smart city into action, Vinh Phuc makes plans and roadmaps for each phase, along with policies about how to use resources.
In particular, Vinh Phuc is working to develop the logistics service industry, with a focus on the Vinh Phuc ICD logistics centre, which is the largest in the Northern region. It is also working to attract investment, and develop industry, agriculture, and commercial and urban infrastructure.
According to a report from the Vinh Phuc Industrial Parks Management Board, investment registration certificates were given to 8 new projects in July 2022. This included 5 FDI projects with registered investment capital of USD 8.54 million and 3 DDI projects with registered investment capital of VND 201.75 billion. At the same time, investment registration certificates were given to adjust capital increase for 2 times FDI projects with total registered investment capital of USD 8.54 million.
In July 2022, the total amount of new and added investment capital is USD 26.54 million and VND 201.75 billion. In the first seven months of 2022, industrial parks (IZs) in Vinh Phuc province attracted 14 new FDI projects and 20 times capital increase projects with a total newly and additionally invested capital of 235,11 million USD, of which new grant is 134,04 million USD, increasing capital is 101,06 million USD, which is equivalent to 77% over the same period in 2021 and 78% of the plan in 2022, attracting 8 DDI projects with a total registered investment capital of
In the field of agriculture, many areas of concentrated production and husbandry with branded products are forming, which is good for the market in Hanoi and the provinces near it. Tourism, services, and business have all grown at the same rate, and many modern businesses have been opened. Transportation services connect provinces and cities across the country in a smooth way.
Tourist spots like Dai Lai, Tay Thien, and Tam Dao have had money and work put into their infrastructure. Vinh Phuc province also puts a lot of effort into investing in key projects, which are the lifeblood of traffic and help bring in investment and move goods.
At the moment, the province is finishing the planning system and focusing on finishing the provincial master plan for 2030 to connect with provinces and cities in the Red River Delta and the Hanoi Capital Region.
Investment projects, such as the Hanoi-Lao Cai expressway, National Highway 2 and National Highway 2C, the Van Phuc bridge across the Red River, the road from Phuc Yen to Soc Son, the connection to Noi Bai International Airport, Ring Road 5, and the project to expand the central trunk road of Me Linh New Urban Area, are being worked on.
The current framework for urban infrastructure in Vinh Phuc is based on synchronized and modern transportation infrastructure. This is in line with the general plan for the Vinh Phuc urban area, the plan for the Hanoi Capital Region, and the plan for urban areas.
Vinh Phuc also focuses on taking advantage of the potential of resort tourism, making cities more environmentally friendly, and offering high-quality educational and medical services to attract tourists from both inside and outside the country to come and work, live, and work.
