DNHN - Vietnam Dairy Products Joint Stock Company (Vinamilk) has recently extended its support for the HCMC Sponsoring Association for Poor Patients. In 2022, Ho Chi Minh City has allocated 500 million VND for the Association to execute a free heart surgery program for impoverished children with congenital heart disease.
Vinamilk has been carrying out this activity since 1995, giving the chance for treatment and good life to disadvantaged patients throughout the nation, including many small children.
Vinamilk has enabled approximately 1,300 underprivileged patients with heart and eye surgery, including many youngsters with congenital heart disease surgery, to have greater possibilities to live with a healthy heart by supporting up to VND 7.2 billion.

Nguyen Tuong Vy, born in 2007, is a fortunate instance who received Vinamilk assistance for heart surgery and is now enjoying a healthy and normal life like many of her contemporaries. Little Vy still had congenital heart problems eight years ago, and the hospital had to schedule an early operation. The baby's family, however, is in really tough circumstances; his father is a security guard and his mother is a worker, thus the income is not solid. The whole family of seven lives in a level 4 dwelling of little more than 30m2. Tuong Vy was able to perform free heart surgery because of the backing of the Poor Patients Association of Ho Chi Minh City and philanthropists such as Vinamilk. The baby's health is now stable, and he is preparing to start high school.
Another example is Ky Duyen (born in 2017), who had cardiac surgery four years ago. Duyen's father worked as a carpenter at the time, but as a student, his monthly salary was less than 3 million VND, and his mother remained at home to care for the small children, while the whole family spent monthly rent money since they relocated from Binh Duong province. It's close to Ho Chi Minh City. Everyone was moved to see Duyen move and play so freely since she and her whole family had gone through a terrible period because Ky Duyen was born weak and had to follow up on numerous medical visits and could not afford surgery when there was an early signal for surgery from the doctor. Duyen's life has taken a new turn thanks to the program's assistance.

In recent years, Mr Nguyen Van Ranh, Vice Chairman of Sponsoring Association for Poor Patients, has voiced his admiration for Vinamilk's heart. Despite the challenging Covid-19 season, Vinamilk maintains a fund to assist disadvantaged children around the nation. "Without the support of sponsors like Vinamilk, the Association would be unable to provide free heart and eye operations to children," Mr Ranh said.
Vinamilk's Director of External Relations, Do Thanh Tuan, said, "After nearly 30 years of collaborating with the Sponsoring Association for Poor Patients in Ho Chi Minh City through heart surgery and eye surgery programs, Vinamilk recognizes this as a meaningful and humane program for the community, especially for disadvantaged children with heart and eye diseases. Children with heart disease must be treated quickly so they may have healthy hearts like other kids, and they must be given hope and confidence. Vinamilk believes the love of Ho Chi Minh City Sponsoring Association for Poor Patients and her former companionship would not only help children have healthier bodies and a greater opportunity to survive, but also motivate them to grow good seeds in society in the future.”

Vinamilk has spent 46 years serving the Vietnamese people by providing healthy products and demonstrating social responsibility and care for their health. Local events. The corporation also developed the "Standing Vietnam Milk Fund" campaign "so every Vietnamese kid may drink milk every day."
The initiative has provided 40,6 million glasses of milk to almost 500,000 special needs children in the U.S. These exercises promote Vietnamese nutrition and mental health.
