Although agricultural exports have enjoyed good growth since the beginning of the year, according to experts, this activity in the coming time will face many difficulties and challenges from difficult risk factors. Additionally, the global trend in the price of input materials such as fertilizer and animal feed has climbed; sea freight rates have not decreased, production costs remain high... are still issues that the agricultural industry and agricultural product exporters will face in 2022.

Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Phung Duc Tien said that a notable problem is that exports to China are still facing difficulties due to the implementation of the "Zero Covid" policy and the application of new agricultural product control regulations. There are still shipments of Vietnamese enterprises that are warned about Covid-19. Therefore, businesses need to pay special attention to packaging, loading goods onto containers... to ensure epidemic control.

Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien stated that the Ministry continues to support enterprises and agricultural export enterprises in objective exploiting free trade agreements (FTAs) signed with countries and territories, particularly with the Eurasian Economic Union; countries in the Asia-Pacific region.
At the moment, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development is cooperating with the Ministry of Industry and Trade to assess and anticipate the situation promptly; and collectively create measures to stabilize agricultural production and supply for both the local market and export. Concentrate your efforts on exchanging and negotiating with other countries to gain access to these markets for Vietnamese agricultural products.
