DNHN - The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development is coordinating with the Ministry of Industry and Trade in assessing and forecasting the situation promptly; jointly find solutions to stabilize production and supply for the domestic market as well as for the export of agricultural products.

Although agricultural exports have enjoyed good growth since the beginning of the year, according to experts, this activity in the coming time will face many difficulties and challenges from difficult risk factors. The measure of the Covid-19 epidemic, inflation and especially the situation of the Russia-Ukraine conflict. 

Additionally, the global trend in the price of input materials such as fertilizer and animal feed has climbed; sea freight rates have not decreased, production costs remain high... are still issues that the agricultural industry and agricultural product exporters will face in 2022.

Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Phung Duc Tien said that a notable problem is that exports to China are still facing difficulties due to the implementation of the "Zero Covid" policy and the application of new agricultural product control regulations. There are still shipments of Vietnamese enterprises that are warned about Covid-19. Therefore, businesses need to pay special attention to packaging, loading goods onto containers... to ensure epidemic control. 

To fulfil the fulfil true industry's aim of exporting 50 billion USD worth of agricultural products by 2022, numerous solutions are being implemented. The agriculture and Rural Development Ministry is preparing to conduct a trade mission to boost the fruits and seafood supply chain in China during the second quarter of 2022. 

Additionally, information is being prepared for bilateral collaboration with the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Spain, and Korea; and a plan is being developed to boost agricultural, forestry, and fisheries products exports to the EU, the United States, China, and Japan.

Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Le Minh Hoan said that to promote the consumption of agricultural products in the coming time, the ministry planned to negotiate the export of chilli, durian, milk and dairy products, and fishmeal and fish oil. , feather products to China; label to Japan; grapefruit, lemon we go to New Zealand; pomelo to America and India; animal products to Korea; honey to EU… 

Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien stated that the Ministry continues to support enterprises and agricultural export enterprises in objective exploiting free trade agreements (FTAs) signed with countries and territories, particularly with the Eurasian Economic Union; countries in the Asia-Pacific region. 

At the moment, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development is cooperating with the Ministry of Industry and Trade to assess and anticipate the situation promptly; and collectively create measures to stabilize agricultural production and supply for both the local market and export. Concentrate your efforts on exchanging and negotiating with other countries to gain access to these markets for Vietnamese agricultural products. 

Additionally, the two ministries increased their support for enterprises seeking to expand into both traditional and new areas. Along with that, remove obstacles and bottlenecks to agricultural exports as soon as possible.
