The Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Association pays an official visit to Cambodia

DNHN - Over the years, the activities of the Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Association have made beneficial contributions to Vietnam's overall international affairs and serve as an essential bridge to strengthen friendship, understanding, and trust between the peoples of Vietnam and Cambodia.

A high-level delegation of the Vietnam - Cambodia Friendship Association was led by a member of the Party Central Committee, a member of the National Assembly Standing Committee, the head of the National Assembly Working Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Organization Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam - Cambodia Friendship Association, led by Comrade Nguyen Thi Thanh, participated in activities to commemorate the Vietnam - Cambodia Friendship Year.
During the visit, Association President Nguyen Thi Thanh and her Cambodian counterpart, Ms Men Sam An, are expected to co-chair a bilateral meeting; and sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Cambodia - Vietnam Friendship Association and the Vietnam - Cambodia Friendship Association for the period 2022-2027. This will serve as the basis for the two nations' Friendship Association to continue to grow and promote exchange activities and improve understanding between the peoples of the two countries in the future.
The group will also make a courtesy call to the President of the National Assembly, Chairman of the Council for Solidarity and Development of Cambodia, Samdech Heng Samrin; Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen; and Senate President Samdech Sai Chhum as part of the visit. The team will also pay a visit to the Khmer - Vietnam Association in Siem Reap province, as well as deliver presents to relatives in seven provinces in Cambodia's northern region.
For many years, the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations and its member organizations, including the Vietnam - Cambodia Friendship Association, have been active and effective as a core force of people-to-people diplomacy, laying a solid foundation for building trust and mutual understanding between the Vietnamese people and international friends.
