DNHN - The feasibility study report of the component project of the Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon segment of the North-South expressway building project has just been submitted to the Ministry of Transport (MOT) for evaluation in the years 2021-2025.
According to the proposal, the project will be around 88 kilometres long. The segment via Quang Ngai province is 60.3 kilometres long, and the section through Binh Dinh province is 27.7 kilometres long. The project begins at Kilometer 0 (kilometre 127+720 of the Da Nang - Quang Ngai highway), in the jurisdiction of Nghia Ky commune, Tu Nghia district, Quang Ngai province.
The trailhead is located at Km88 (just before the intersection with Provincial Road 629), in Bong Son ward, Hoai Nhon town, Binh Dinh province. During the diverging phase, the project is invested with a scale of four limited expressways, a roadbed width of 17m, and a design speed of 80 km/h.

The cross-sectional scale of the Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon Expressway is being invested in the completion phase to meet the standard of a 6-lane highway with a width of 32.25m. Three road tunnels are proposed to be built along the route. The longest tunnel is over 3,200 meters long. With the above design, the project's tentative total investment is approximately 20,469 billion VND. This recommended level is less than the approved investment policy's total investment (20,898 billion VND).
