The government comments on the proposal of the Vietnam automobile industry strategy

DNHN - Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh appointed the Minister of Sector and Trade to meet and debate VAMA suggestions and recommendations in order to promote Vietnam's car industry in a coordinated manner.

The Government Office recently released Document No. 2506/VPCP-CN, which conveyed Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh's perspective on the idea of strategic study of the car sector based on global trends.

As a result, Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh tasked the Minister of Sector and Trade to meet and review VAMA's views and recommendations in order to build a synchronized solution to expand Vietnam's vehicle industry based on functions. designated responsibilities; report to the Prime Minister on areas within its domain of expertise.

Previously, the Vietnam Vehicle Manufacturers Association (VAMA) handed Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh a paper suggesting a plan for the Vietnamese automobile sector to follow global trends and contribute to the implementation of Vietnam's COP26 pledges.

Specifically, with the ambition to develop a thriving Vietnamese car industry and contribute significantly to the economy, while also keeping up with technological advancements and industrial change. 

VAMA wants to interchange the following contents in the global automobile industry: The program for developing electric vehicles, as well as the roadmap for converting from gasoline and diesel vehicles to electric vehicles, as well as an action plan for execution; commitment to COP26; present problems in implementing the requirements of the Environmental Protection Law relating to expired goods and the recycling process; offer plans to develop the market and increase vehicle manufacturing and supporting industries in the nation.
