DNHN - The Hanoi Marathon Techcombank is more than just a race to see how far you can go. It's more like a journey through the city's history and culture.
People often say that Hanoi wouldn't be Hanoi without autumn, with its "the Celtis trees," "red-leaf Terminalia catappa trees," "old streets of old houses," and "brown roof tiles," as musicians Trinh Cong Son wrote in Hanoi's Autumn. There are also the Hanoi Old Quarter, Hoan Kiem Lake, Thang Long Imperial Citadel, Tay Ho Palace, etc., all of which are well-known landmarks and works of art that everyone thinks of when they talk about a country with a history of thousands of years.
The Hanoi Marathon Techcombank wants runners to experience a Hanoi that is not only full of poetry but also rich in culture and history. The race will take place from September 23 to September 25.
The road is filled with the culture of the capital.
After being put off because of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Hanoi Marathon Techcombank will start this fall. The most exciting part of the race is the route, which goes through Hoan Kiem, Ba Dinh, Tay Ho, Dong Anh, and Long Bien. This route has been called "the most beautiful in Hanoi."
From the starting line at Hoan Kiem Lake, which is 42.2 km for a marathon and 21.1 km for a half-marathon, runners can get a closer look at the beautiful Ngoc Son Temple, The Huc Bridge, and Pen tower, as well as other famous landmarks like the Opera House, Hanoi Old Quarter, Ba Dinh Square, and Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum.
Runners in the half-marathon will go down the beautiful Phan Dinh Phung road, cross the old Long Bien bridge, and then run along the Duong River. The runners start and finish at the same place, but the marathon distance takes them across the huge West Lake, over the modern Nhat Tan bridge, over the left dyke of the Red River, and to the finish line at Vincom Long Bien with their teammates. Along that journey, there are unique places to run, famous buildings and landscapes, and other things that promise to make it a "one-of-a-kind" experience.
Athletes can choose a running route that fits their fitness level and interests, explore the capital, and push themselves to the limit to mark an experience-filled journey. The Techcombank Hanoi Marathon also has a track for kids ages 5 to 14 called the KIDS track.
The World Marathon Association (AIMS) made sure that the cultural running track at the Hanoi Marathon Techcombank met international standards on August 11. To get this certification, AIMS representatives must personally measure, approve, and certify that the track is safe and accurate at all distances.
According to an agreement between AIMS and the World Athletics Federation (WA), which used to be called the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF), once the track is certified by AIMS, it is also considered to meet WA standards. This standard is good for 5 years, or until the race track is changed before that time.
This means that runners can use how well they did at the Hanoi Marathon Techcombank to sign up for bigger marathons, even ones that take place outside of Vietnam, like the Boston Marathon, the Chicago Marathon, or the New York City Marathon. This is one of the reasons why so many professional athletes sign up for the race.
Get the word out that "Outstanding imprint"
Spreading the message of "Outstanding Mark," Hanoi Marathon Techcombank wants to show the importance of working together to face challenges and overcome them so that Vietnam can be the best it can be every day.
Techcombank has been with big marathons all over the country before, so this is not the first time. The bank was the main sponsor of the Techcombank Ho Chi Minh City International Marathon's first year in 2017. After 5 years, the event grew to be the biggest and best one of its kind in Vietnam. Recently, the 2021 season has been a surprise success, with more than 13,000 athletes showing up. This is a big jump from 2017 when only 5,000 athletes showed up.
The bank worked with Sunrise Event Vietnam to put on the Hanoi Marathon Techcombank to carry on and promote that foundation. As a strategic sponsor, Techcombank once again affirms its mission to promote and lead the community toward a healthy and healthy way of life, promoting the power of solidarity and overcoming challenges together, conquering all limits, and slowly making a better future for Vietnam.
