DNHN - Over 280 golfers have together created a memorable day, as over 40 billion VND was raised to support those in need.
Thu Duc Golf Course has become the epicenter of the year's biggest sports and charity event with the 3rd Thu Duc Open Golf Tournament. With over 280 golfers participating, the competition was intense and exciting. The tournament exceeded expectations by raising over 40 billion VND, a remarkable milestone that will contribute to a better life for the community.
Held on September 7th and organized by the People's Committee of Thu Duc City, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thu Duc City, and the Thu Duc City Golf Association, the 3rd Thu Duc Open Golf Tournament marked a journey connecting the passion for sports and compassion. "Every swing at the 3rd Thu Duc Open Golf Tournament is not only a showcase of skill but also a gathering of sports enthusiasts, working together for the community."
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Tran Huu Phuoc, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thu Duc City, said: "I would like to express my sincere gratitude to businesses, sponsors, benefactors, and golfers who have always accompanied the Thu Duc Open Golf Tournament over the past three years. Your contributions have helped the tournament grow and become a meaningful event, contributing to the development of the community. We believe that with everyone's joint efforts, the Thu Duc Open Golf Tournament will continue to be an enjoyable playground and a place for us to connect, share, and spread positive values."
Every swing at the 3rd Thu Duc Open Golf Tournament is not only a showcase of skill but also an act of sharing. Over 280 golfers have together created a memorable day, as over 40 billion VND was raised to support those in need. Thu Duc City is proud of the community's spirit of solidarity and compassion.
"Golf is not only an exciting competition but also a meaningful journey of sharing. The funds raised from the tournament will be used to provide opportunities for those in difficult circumstances, nurture the dreams of students, help Thu Duc City upgrade, maintain, and renovate infrastructure in the area... contributing together with the Party Committee and City Government to take care of the poor, social welfare work, and achieve the goal of improving the quality of life for the people, building a Thu Duc city with a good quality of life, civilization, modernity, and humanity."
This year's tournament attracted golfers who are leaders of over 70 golf clubs nationwide, members representing foreign consulates in Vietnam, and many businesses operating inside and outside Thu Duc City. The Hole in One prize also reached an impressive total value of 40 billion VND.
The final results were truly surprising when the Best Gross female prize went to golfer Bui Thi Diem An with a gross score of 89 and an amazing shot, while the Best Gross male prize was awarded to golfer Pham Quoc Phuong with a gross score of 69 and outstanding performance.
