DNHN - A sub-regional consultative workshop on the project of technical assistance for the project Integrated Climate Resilience and Sustainable Livelihoods in the Mekong Delta was recently held in Dong Thap, An Giang, and Kien Giang provinces ( Project GEF-ICRSL).This is an opportunity for industries, levels, scientists, managers, and businesses to exchange and discuss, thereby drawing lessons from experience and properly assessing the limitations and existence of agricultural clusters (rice, fruit, and fisheries) and proposing solutions to overcome

The event was arranged in partnership with Peapros Consulting Joint Stock Company by the Central Management Board of Irrigation Projects (CPO Board) of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
Representatives from the consulting group presented an overview of the current production, business, linkages, potentials, and development advantages of commodity clusters: rice, fruit, and aquatic products; policy framework related to promoting production linkages and developing industrial clusters in Vietnam at the workshop.
In the afternoon of the same day, the delegates divided into groups to discuss related issues, which highlighted the necessary factors for cluster development, such as upgrading transportation infrastructure; reorganizing raw material areas on a sufficiently large scale, forming specialized farming areas; improving the performance of cooperatives, farmer groups/groups; strengthening linkages between agricultural material producers and suppliers; and building th
Concerning the policy framework for promoting production linkages and developing industry linkages in Vietnam, the delegates stated that it is critical to promote the market for technical, input, and technology service providers; form effective supply chains and marketing structures; increase capital for manufacturers and businesses; and pay attention to business concentration.
