Sun World Fansipan Legend resort will bring "Horses in the Clouds" back for the fifth time, adding to the cool summer in Sa Pa. And this time, the event is organized on a different scale and method, lasting a month, from July 15, 2022, to August 14, 2022.
Bringing together 16 jockeys from Bac Ha with a race track around Vietnam's largest Rose Valley is full of flavour, with performances, parades, and native art performances alternating between the races. Northwest, the 5th Horse's Hoof in the Clouds promises to bring a bustling and unique festive atmosphere to Sapa this summer.
As a result, the event's opening ceremony will take place on July 15 at 8:00 a.m. at the Rose Garden stage - Fansipan cable car station area. Following the opening ceremony, the 5th Horseshoe in the Clouds will begin with a welcome parade in a space decorated with flower flags, as well as exciting archery and javelin throwing performances.
The horse racing show will be held every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Fansipan Cable Car Station.

The season will be run in a knockout format, with the top three jockeys competing for first, second, and third place in the final on August 14. The race track is approximately 1,400 meters long and wraps around Vietnam's largest rose valley, which has a width of 50,000 meters. This place will be the most romantic and poetic horse racing track in the Northwest, with the scenery of hundreds of thousands of ancient roses in Sa Pa, infrared from England, France, Japan... blooming brilliantly at the foot of Fansipan mountain.
The season will feature 16 "horsemen" and 16 excellent "horses" from the Bac Ha races. The two-horse, three-horse competition, as well as the horse's speed to the finish line, promise to transport visitors from excitement to suspense and excitement. The "good horses" selected from the pack horses of highland farmers, who often pull the plough to work in the fields, carry goods, and serve people on the move, are the most unique feature in the Horse Hoof in the Clouds tournament, as is customary. The "knights" with the chivalry spirit and skilful skills are all simple highlanders who temporarily abandon their daily farming work to gather for the season.

This time, "Horses on the Clouds" also blew up the festival atmosphere in Sa Pa with special side activities. Including parade performances on weekdays from Monday to Thursday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., during the month of July 15, 2022, to August 14, 2022. The parade with "horsemen" and boys and girls in highland ethnic costumes will offer performances with flags, javelin throwing, and archery across the central roads of Sa Pa town. Visitors can take photos while checking in and try sitting on the backs of horses. Nonetheless, for the first time at Fansipan, 17 actors from the Bac Ha art troupe will bring art performances imbued with Northwest identity throughout the tournament.
The Horseshoe in the Clouds season events is part of Sun World Fansipan Legend Resort's summer event series "Going to Sa Pa in the middle of the flower season." To revive Sa Pa's fading traditional cultural festival of horse racing, the first season of "Horses on the Clouds" began in 2018. After four seasons, the event has developed into a "brand" and is the most anticipated tourist product in Sapa every summer. Last holiday, from April 30 to May 5, Sa Pa welcomed up to 98,000 tourists, in addition to the Rose Festival, street carnival parade, and "Horse in the clouds."

Visitors to Fansipan Sapa on this occasion, in particular, can experience summer in the "temperate land" with cool air, as well as admire the spectacular natural scenery in the Hoang Lien Son range. Strips of brightly coloured chrysanthemums, roses, primroses, and other flowers, up to 27.5 hectares wide, are right next to the Fansipan Flower Valley. According to a tourist area representative, this place will be filled with safflower, parang, and peacock tail... in July and August of next year.
The journey to experience Fansipan, of course, is essential for a cable car ride to the top of Fansipan, where heaven and earth meet with a sea of billowing white clouds, a spiritual complex in the shape of a majestic 15th-16th century Vietnamese pagoda. And, especially interesting, a trip to Fansipan in the middle of summer is a trip to enjoy the cool autumn colours, because the temperature in the Fansipan peak area never exceeds 17 degrees Celsius during this season.
A Horseshoe on the Clouds season on a grand scale, infused with highland cultural identity. Experience the vibrant flower season in a setting where heaven and earth coexist and the air is cool. Summer vacation in the high mountains of Sa Pa will be an experience to which you will become addicted once you try it.

From now until the end of August 10, 2022, Sun World Fansipan Legend will continue to apply the policy of discounting cable car tickets up to 45% for visitors who are students. Accordingly, the cable car ticket price is only 400,000 VND / ticket. To enjoy the discount, visitors only need to present their student card at the ticket counter and ticket gate.
