Southeast Open Judo Tournament 2022 Opening Ceremony

DNHN - The Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Binh Duong province staged the opening ceremony of the Judo competition in the Southeast area on July 1, 2022, at the Multi-Purpose Gymnasium, Training Center, and Sports Competition.
Mr Ly Dai Nghia - Vice President of the Vietnam Judo Federation; Mr Cao Van Chong - Deputy Director of the Binh Duong Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism; Mr Nguyen Quoc Thang - Head coach of the national Judo youth team; Mr Tran Minh Khiem - Head of Press Information and Publishing Department, Department of Information and Communications; Mr Nguyen Minh Son - Head of Children's Committee at Binh Duong Provincial Youth Union, together with leaders of Sports Management Department, Center for Training and Competition of Physical Education and Sports.

The event drew 129 athletes from 13 teams representing provinces and towns with strong Judo movements, including Binh Phuoc, Dong Nai, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Tra Vinh, Bac Lieu, Hau Giang, Ca Mau, and Da Nang, Binh Thuan, Army, Ho Chi Minh City young team, Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Duong team.

Repechage in the quarterfinals according to the International Judo Federation (IJF) rules promulgated by the General Department of Physical Education and Sports. Athletes will also compete in the following events: Men's weight divisions (- 50kg, -55kg, -60kg, -66kg, -73kg, -81kg, -90kg, -100kg, +100kg) Female fighting weight classes are as follows: -42kg, -45kg, -48kg, -52kg, -57kg, -63kg, -70kg, -78kg, +78kg; Male team content consists of 05 weight classes (-55kg, -60kg, -66kg, -73kg, -81kg). Women's team has 05 weight classes (-45kg, -48kg, -52kg, -57kg, -63kg); mixed male - female team has 05 weight classes (-70kg for women, -78kg for women, -90kg for men, -100kg for men, and +100kg for males). Nage No Kata, Ju No Kata, Katame No Gata, Kime No Kata, and Kodokan Goshin Jutsu are examples of appropriate content.

The tournament is scheduled to conclude on July 3, 2022. As a result, to create opportunities for localities to interact, learning experiences, and develop professional qualifications, as well as analyze their capacity and prepare forces to compete in national tournaments and the National Sports Festival shortly.
