DNHN - On 15 and 16 January 2024, SHB Bank, in collaboration with the Thai Binh Red Cross Society, presented 258 gifts to disadvantaged students with high academic achievements in Thai Binh province on the occasion of the Lunar New Year of the Dragon 2024.

Giving gifts to underprivileged students on the occasion of the Lunar New Year is an annual meaningful activity that SHB has been continuously implementing for many years. This is a meaningful and practical activity to spread love in the community and to share difficulties with the children in time for the upcoming Tet holiday; at the same time, it promotes SHB’s role in caring for and educating young people, encouraging students to strive to compete well in their studies, become good children and excellent students, and welcome a joyful and warm spring.
A representative of SHB’s leadership said: “Implementing charity programs, turning towards the community, ‘helping those in need’, is a cultural tradition that SHB has built and maintained continuously over the past 30 years. This is a development orientation with the Heart as the foundation, accompanying social security activities and is the sincerity of SHB’s staff and workers with the desire to share love with disadvantaged students in Thai Binh province in particular and the whole country in general. We have, are and will always strive to realise the commitment to accompany the common development of the country”.
Previously, on 16th December 2023, at the 17th “Spring for Children” Program, SHB donated 2 billion VND to support the Vietnam Children’s Support Fund to accompany and support underprivileged children nationwide. On 26th September 2023, at the “Lanterns Light Up Dreams” program organised by the Provincial Youth Union and the Department of Labour - Invalids and Social Affairs of Thai Binh province, SHB’s Chairman of the Board of Directors Do Quang Hien presented 500 million VND to disadvantaged children in the province.

At the same time, SHB also presented Thai Binh University with 150 modern computers, helping the province’s generation of 4.0 citizens have more conditions to explore technological knowledge, improving the quality of the local human resources.
In the 30-year development journey, SHB has always paid special attention to the country's future generations. The bank always accompanies students in overcoming difficulties and realising their dreams with meaningful gifts and scholarships on the occasion of the new school year, and the end of the school year; responding to major programs dedicated to the younger generation such as: “Network Waves and Computers for Children”, “Spring for Children”, Developing young talents in SOS villages through the Young Leader project; donating bicycles to poor students who overcome difficulties, building schools in Cao Bang, Can Tho… with a budget of up to tens of billions of VND.
SHB’s practical actions have demonstrated a strong commitment and a mission to contribute to the development of education, nurturing talents, and improving the quality of human resources for the community and society. On the long journey ahead, SHB continues to firmly take “social responsibility” as its business philosophy, actively spreading the Heart of love to all parts of the country.
