DNHN - The "MOT" book exchange event is one of the two primary annual events that THE 1% FUND project organises. MOET 2023: VAN SAC continues its mission to foster an appreciation for literature and disseminate an increasingly endangered reading culture.
The official inauguration of the book exhibition and exchange festival "MOT 2023: Van Sac" occurred in Hanoi on December 2 and 3, 2023, building upon the triumphs of previous years. The purpose of this fundraising event was to assist children at the National Institute of Haematology and Blood Transfusion.

With the active participation of high school students, Ha Noi Amsterdam High School for the Gifted and Nguyen Hue High School for the Gifted students from Hanoi established the 1% Fund. throughout the entirety of Hanoi. This endeavour is guided by the principle "One per cent, one change," which posits that a mere 1% of the contributions made by each individual can effect positive change in the lives of others. we.

In addition to encouraging reading, the event seeks to propagate a reading culture, an ideal that is progressively vanishing in contemporary society. This becomes progressively more significant, particularly for the youth of Generation 4.0. The festival garnered substantial community support in its effort to generate funds for underprivileged children admitted to the Central Haematology Hospital.

According to the event's organisers, nearly one hundred students from throughout the city were members of the Organising Committee team for this year's occasion. This has increased the variety and quality of activities. In addition to restocking the souvenir area and selling books, fundraising activities include traditional children's games such as sand painting, statue painting, and toy construction. Simultaneously, the event recreates the space of antiquity in a narrow alleyway of a contemporary thoroughfare, enabling attendees to reacquaint themselves with deep-seated recollections of the past. Additionally, the collection of used books for sale and donation to underprivileged children is encouraged, which is an excellent way to ensure that children end the year with meaningful and practical experiences.
