DNHN - On August 19, Mr Vo Van Minh, who is the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, led a meeting at the Administrative Center of Binh Duong province to hear reports on the progress of transportation projects that connect the region and other things.
At the meeting, the Department of Transport talked about how projects to improve traffic between Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai province were going.
Accordingly, Binh Duong province and Ho Chi Minh City are coordinating to implement the conclusion at the meeting between leaders of the two localities on transportation projects connecting: Improving the static space of Binh Trieu 1 bridge, bridge Binh Phuoc 1; reviewing the position of the bridge over the Saigon River on Ring Road 4; Song Than intersection; connecting An Binh - Dao Trinh Nhat road to Pham Van Dong street; connecting National Highway 1A, National Highway 13…
For the Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh Expressway, Ho Chi Minh City is reviewing and updating the alignment planning at the Go Dua intersection; On the side of Binh Duong province, which is organizing consultations with functional sectors on the preparation of project investment, Becamex IDC Corporation has coordinated to prepare a pre-feasibility report for the project.

Binh Duong province also worked with Dong Nai province to review and update the plans for traffic projects that connect the two areas, such as the Hieu Liem Bridge, the Thanh Hoi 2 Bridge, and the DT. 747 traffic axis-Bui Huu Nghia-DT.743a, and the road system that connects Bien Hoa city to Di An city.
To carry out Resolution No. 105/NQ-CP of the Government dated August 15, 2022, on the implementation of Resolution No. 57/2022/QH15 on the investment policy of the Ring Road 3 Project in Ho Chi Minh City, the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board as the investor of component projects in the province.
Becamex IDC Corporation has set up an investment project to build Ring Road 4 with a cross-section of 74.5m (including the invested section in My Phuoc 3 Industrial Park and Vietnam - Singapore II-A). After the study is done, the Department of Planning and Investment will be in charge of advising the Provincial People's Committee, which will then report to the Standing Board of the Provincial Party Committee.

Regarding the implementation of railway projects, Binh Duong proposed to invest in a project to extend the Ben Thanh-Suoi Tien railway line from Suoi Tien station to Binh Thang ward, Di An city, with ODA capital. Phase Section 1 is 1.8 km long and goes from Suoi Tien station to Binh Thang intersection station (in the form of investment and operation in the direction of Binh Duong province, managed by the Urban Railway Management Board of Ho Chi Minh City). From Di An to Binh Duong New City Central Station, the length of Phases 2 and 3 is 25,2 km.
To keep putting forward the Bau Bang-Thi Vai-Cai Mep railway line project, the province is also doing an overall study and detailed planning of the line. At the meeting, departments and sectors also gave updates on the An Tay Port project. Planning for public land areas in the province was also discussed.
At the end of the meeting, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Minh asked the Department of Transport, relevant departments and agencies, and localities to work together with functional departments and branches of Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai province, to study. Carefully plan the construction site, and route alignment, and try to speed up the progress of traffic connection projects to help the social and economic growth of the area.
