An Giang: Reviewing the organization of the investment promotion conference in 2022

DNHN - On the morning of July 19, the People's Committee of An Giang province held a meeting to review the organization of the investment promotion conference in An Giang province in 2022.
Chairing the meeting were: Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh; Vice Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee: Le Van Phuoc, Tran Anh Thu, Nguyen Thi Minh Thuy.

At the meeting, the Deputy Director of the Department of Planning and Investment of An Giang province- Trang Cong Cuong said up to now, the Department of Planning and Investment has coordinated with other departments, agencies, sectors and localities to review the list of investment projects expected to complete the procedures for awarding decisions on investment policy approval and investor approval, including 11 projects, with a total estimated capital of 24,024 billion VND. Which, 9 projects do not go through auction or bidding, with a total capital of 7,896 billion VND and 2 projects that have to choose investors through auction or bidding, with a total capital of 16,128 billion VND. The amount of capital and the number of projects awarded decisions on approval of investment policies may increase or decrease depending on the results of investment promotion during the time investment promotion missions work with investors and the progress of investment procedures.
The Department of Planning and Investment has reviewed and proposed through the Provincial People's Committee a list of 22 projects, with a total capital of 146,418 billion VND for the list of projects with investors interested and researching, they can sign a memorandum of investment cooperation. Which, there are large corporations, such as Nova, Hung Thinh, Tan A Dai Thanh, BIM, TMS, and Long Thuan and companies: Hung Long, Indochina Land Joint Stock Company, etc. are interested in investing in many fields. areas of urban development, trade - services, industrial real estate and traffic of An Giang.

Regarding the organization of propaganda activities for An Giang province's investment promotion conference in 2022 and the 190th anniversary of the province's establishment (1832 - 2022), the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department coordinated with members of the Propaganda Subcommittee, units and localities, strengthen the work of grasping the ideological situation and public opinion, promptly orienting the struggle, and refuting the distorting acts related to the 2 events.
Mr Nguyen Thanh Binh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Cand chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee expressed that to agree with the plan of the Department of Planning and Investment, after the meeting, two delegations will be established to work with the investors to promote investment projects.
Accordingly, to effectively invite businesses to invest, it is necessary to quickly complete the list of projects to call for investment. At the same time, the Provincial People's Committee's Office is assigned to coordinate with the Department of Planning and Investment, relevant departments and agencies to develop specific plans associated with responsibilities, clearly specifying the timeline for performing specific tasks for the units to carry out the assigned tasks on schedule.

"It is recommended that local departments and branches continue to be determined to increase investment invitations and support businesses to complete procedures. In particular, it should be noted that projects implemented must comply with the provisions of the law and must be reviewed following the planning. At the same time, it is expected that investment projects must cover all fields to build An Giang province to develop synchronously and comprehensively, contributing to the good implementation of socio-economic development tasks, sustainable poverty reduction, new rural construction..." - Mr Binh emphasized.
