DNHN - According to the current ranking of "Most Downloaded Apps in Vietnam" on the App Store, the VssID app of the Vietnam Social Security (VSS) ranks first in the Business app group and 25th in the group of free apps.
It is also one of the three government apps with the largest number of users in Vietnam, along with two other apps: VneID of the Ministry of Public Security and Thanh nien Viet Nam of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.
This assessment was made in the Report on the Results of Implementing National Digital Transformation in 2023, Directions, and Key Tasks in 2024 of the Ministry of Information and Communications - the standing agency of the National Committee for Digital Transformation.
The VSS has initiated the use of the health insurance card image on the app for health insurance examination and treatment (nationwide from June 1, 2021) and other information and utilities. With the launch of the VssID - Digital Social Insurance mobile app, the VSS has also provided public services and transparently disclosed information on social insurance and health insurance contributions and benefits. Users can monitor their participation history, past use of social insurance and health insurance plans, as well as associated web services, here.
To provide more options and utilities for VssID app users, on June 5, 2023, the VSS piloted the integration of a Virtual Assistant into the VSS Customer Care Call Center (1900.9068) to support people in resetting their VssID account password. The pilot integration of the Virtual Assistant into the VSS Customer Care Call Center to support VssID app users in resetting their passwords demonstrates the desire to provide more and more features and utilities, creating convenience for people when transacting with the VSS agency.
To continue providing services and utilities to users, on October 19, 2023, the VSS, in collaboration with the Ministry of Public Security, adjusted and upgraded the VssID app to meet the requirements for connecting and integrating VNeID accounts with the VssID app, allowing users to log in to the VssID app using their VneID electronic identification account. Notably, to facilitate foreigners participating in social insurance and health insurance in Vietnam to use the VssID app easily, the VSS has deployed and integrated multiple languages into the VssID app, including Vietnamese, English, Chinese, Korean, and Japanese.
It can be said that since its launch, the VssID app of the VSS has been continuously improved and upgraded with many practical features and utilities for participants and beneficiaries of the policy. To date, about 35 million people nationwide who participate in social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance have registered, approved, installed, and used the VssID app and provided positive feedback on the convenience and usefulness that the app brings to users.
