With its advantageous position along major global maritime and air routes, a 3,260-kilometer coastline, and an extensive network of seaports, airports, and border gates, Vietnam possesses all the necessary conditions to become a regional logistics powerhouse, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed.

Speaking at the 2025 FIATA World Congress — the world’s largest annual logistics industry event — which officially opened in Hanoi on October 8, the Prime Minister underscored that logistics is one of Vietnam’s three primary growth engines and a vital foundation connecting domestic production sectors, cities, provinces, and the nation to international markets.

He noted that Vietnam has been implementing comprehensive and synchronized measures to boost its logistics industry, including large-scale investments in strategic transport infrastructure across all five modes: road, rail, air, sea, and inland waterways.

The Prime Minister reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to creating favorable conditions for both domestic and foreign investors in logistics, protecting their legitimate rights and interests, and ensuring political stability, social order, and a transparent, safe investment environment.

He added that the Government will continue refining institutions, mechanisms, and policies to encourage public–private partnerships (PPP) and strengthen multilateral cooperation within the sector.

The International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA) represents freight forwarding companies from around 150 countries and territories. The 2025 Congress, hosted in Hanoi from October 6 to 10, features in-depth discussions on logistics and transport trends and attracts more than 1,000 delegates from over 100 countries.
