DNHN - The program is expected to select 10 to 15 high-growth potential AI startups with clear funding needs.

On October 2nd, within the framework of the Forum “Promoting Innovation and Development of Strategic Technology Sectors” at the Vietnam International Innovation Expo 2025 (VIIE 2025), the VietLeap AI Accelerator — Vietnam’s pioneering AI startup acceleration program — was officially launched.
The program is an initiative by the National Innovation Center (NIC), in collaboration with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Boston Consulting Group (BCG), and the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam. It aims to foster a strong and sustainable national AI ecosystem.
VietLeap AI Accelerator is designed as a dedicated and intensive program tailored for startups in the artificial intelligence sector. In the context of AI becoming a key driver of innovation across various industries — from manufacturing and services to public administration — this program aspires to act as a catalyst for propelling AI startups onto a high-growth trajectory.
Speaking at the launch event, Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam Mr. Ito Naoki emphasized that the event not only marked the beginning of an ambitious annual initiative but also reaffirmed Japan’s strong commitment to supporting Vietnam on its journey to becoming a regional hub for artificial intelligence.
The VietLeap AI Accelerator aims to select 10 to 15 AI startups with high growth potential and clear funding needs. Selected startups will receive a comprehensive support package based on four key pillars: network building and partnership opportunities; infrastructure and technology support; capacity building and expert mentorship; and fundraising readiness for international investment rounds.
The launch of VietLeap AI Accelerator clearly reflects the stakeholders’ long-term commitment to fostering innovation, placing startups at the center of Vietnam’s digital future. It is more than just a startup support program — it is a strategic step toward establishing AI as a driving force for national development.
