The Digital Media Association organizes Vietnam's first award for digital content creation.

DNHN - The VCA Awards encourage the digital content creation community to produce high-quality content with significant cultural and educational value, thereby contributing to the growth of the digital content industry and the film industry.
The Vietnam Digital Content Creativity Award (VCA 2023) was officially announced and launched on September 12 by the Vietnam Digital Media Association (VDCA). This is the first event in Vietnam to recognize and reward organizations and individuals for outstanding contributions in the field of digital content creation.
According to the information provided by the organizing committee, the rapid development of the Internet and cross-border technology platforms in recent years has created favorable conditions for significant growth in both quantity and quality of digital content creation. This industry is now worth trillions of dollars worldwide.
In Vietnam, at least 20,000 people will be employed in the field of digital content creation by 2022, generating up to 800 million US dollars. In the content industry, promising fields include movies, animation, online music, online games, audiobooks, comics, photographs, content design, and online education.
In this context, the VCA Award was created to encourage the digital content creation community to produce high-quality content products with profound cultural and educational value, thereby contributing to the development of Vietnam's digital content industry, film industry, and culture, as well as promoting the country's digital economy.
The VCA Award also seeks to promote the international dissemination of Vietnamese cultural values by enhancing the reputation of Vietnamese intellectual products.
Mr. Nguyen Minh Hong, Chairman of the Vietnam Digital Communications Association (VDCA), stated that VCA is organized to promote the work ethic and creativity of organizations and individuals, as well as encourage innovation to develop many Vietnamese digital content products for international distribution, thereby transforming Vietnam into a highly developed nation in the digital content industry.
The evaluation process for VCA 2023 applications will consist of two rounds: preliminary and final. The Chairman of the Preliminary Examination Council is Dr. Do Lenh Hung Tu, Chairman of the Vietnam Cinema Association. The Chairman of the Final Council is Dr. Ngo Phuong Lan, Chairman of the Vietnam Cinema Promotion and Development Association and Vice Chairman of the Central Council for Literature and Art Theory and Criticism.
To ensure fairness, the jury also consists of representatives from state management agencies, associations, people's artists, elite artists, journalists, technology experts, and education experts. as well as quality in the evaluation procedure.
The application submission window will be from September 12 to November 30, 2023. It is anticipated that the award ceremony will occur in Hanoi at the end of December 2023.
The 2023 VCA Awards will be presented to two groups and seven categories in total. Group 1: Awards for works and products of digital content.
Category 1: Award for Best Short Film.
The second category is Outstanding Animated Film.
Award for Outstanding Advertising Film in Category 3.
Category 4: Award for outstanding educational digital content products.
Group 2: Awards for individuals, businesses, and organizations.
Category 5: Digital Content Creator of Distinction Award.
Category 6: Community-based digital content creator award.
Award for the Most Promising Digital Content Creator.
