Yamaha R15M 2022 debuted in Southeast Asia with numerous cutting-edge features

DNHN - Recently, Yamaha R15M 2022 was introduced to the Southeast Asian market with numerous new features and equipment. This type is categorized as a small-displacement sports motorbike and is capable of competing directly with the Honda CB150R and Suzuki GSX. The advertised price is fairly attractive, only RM 14,998 (about VND 79.1 million).
Yamaha has recently released the R15M 2022 to the Malaysian market. This model is currently garnering a significant deal of attention from the motorcycle-loving community, particularly riders, due to the car's standard equipment that is comparable to that of larger displacement motorcycles. Typically, 2-channel ABS system, traction control, rear tires measuring 140/70-17 and front tires measuring 100/80.
The Yamaha R15M is equipped with a single-cylinder, SOHC, four-valve, liquid-cooled 155cc engine with variable valve timing (VVA), which enables the vehicle to produce up to 19 horsepower at 10,000 rpm and 14.7 Newton-meters of torque at 8,000 rpm.
The Yamaha R15M 2022 features an LCD control screen that can switch between street mode and race track mode. In addition, this management system is equipped with the Yamaha Y-Connect program, which enables Bluetooth connectivity with smartphones for drivers. The dashboard also displays a wealth of vehicle-operational data, including fuel usage, maintenance schedule, and parking position.
Notably, the new R15M also features a quick-shift button, anti-slip assistance, and a 6-speed transmission. The car's design is derived from the R1 supercar, especially with the Signature M option. The front of the vehicle is fitted with LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, and a central air inlet.
The Yamaha R15M 2022 variant weighs 140 kilograms (with an 11-litre fuel tank) and has a saddle height of 815 millimetres. This vehicle is fitted with front and rear disc brakes and an anti-lock braking system on both wheels.
Furthermore, the Yamaha R15M 2022 is fitted with a KYB reverse travel front suspension and a pre-loaded unique single shock absorber at the back. In addition to dual-channel ABS, the vehicle's safety is ensured by 282 mm Bybre disc brakes at the front and 220 mm Bybre disc brakes at the rear.
