DNHN - In terms of the cheapest Internet rates, Vietnam ranks fourth in Asia, twelfth in the world, and first in Southeast Asia.

Internet access has become an indispensable need globally, as the Internet has covered almost every country. However, the prices of internet services vary widely between countries, preventing many from accessing and using the internet due to the high cost.
Cable.co.uk, a company based in Lichfield (UK) that specializes in consulting and comparing cable TV, internet, and telecommunications services, has conducted a study and comparison of usage rates. Utilise Internet services in 219 countries and territories worldwide to determine which countries have the most and least expensive Internet prices.
In terms of the cheapest Internet rates, Vietnam ranks fourth in Asia, twelfth in the world, and first in Southeast Asia. Internet access in Vietnam costs users an average of USD 10.99 (equivalent to 260,000 VND) per month.
Vietnam is also among the nations with the smallest annual fluctuations in Internet prices. Comparing 2022 to 2023, the average fare will only increase by about 0.18 USD (or 4,000 VND).
Vietnam continues to demonstrate its commitment to providing Internet services at affordable prices, thereby enhancing Internet access for the public and promoting digital economic growth.
According to the results of its research, Cable.co.uk also reported that the average monthly cost for Internet service around the world is 57.07 USD.
Sudan has the cheapest Internet rates in the world, costing only USD 2.30 per month. Although Sudan's telecommunications infrastructure is weak, the country has improved its fixed Internet service to meet the needs of its citizens at reasonable prices.
Kazakhstan ranks second on this list, with an average monthly internet cost of USD 5.11. According to Cable.co.uk, the number of users of Kazakhstan's fixed internet services is decreasing, as more people switch to broadband mobile internet.
Moldova (7.03 USD/month on average), Belarus (7.34 USD/month on average), and Romania (7.03 USD/month on average) round out the top five countries with the cheapest fixed internet rates in the world. 57 USD).
Meanwhile, African countries face many difficulties in telecommunications infrastructure and low income, leading to the highest Internet prices in the world. Burundi is the country with the most expensive average monthly fixed Internet cost, at 383.79 USD per month.
