Set an aim of improving 107,000ha of coffee by replanting and grafting

DNHN - Provincial People's Committees will be responsible for completing the plan for replanting and replanting coffee gardens in the area; organizations and people interested in replanting and replanting coffee gardens must register with the commune People's Committee and apply for loans.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, in 5 provinces in the Central Highlands, the area of coffee replanting in the period to 2025 is about 91,000 ha; of which 64,000 ha are replanted and 27,000 ha are grafted.
Lam Dong is the province with the largest replanting area with 36,000 ha, followed by Dak Lak at 24,000 ha, Dak Nong at 18,000 ha, Gia Lai at 11,000 ha, and Kon Tum at 2,000 ha. Coffee growing provinces such as Son La, Dien Bien, Quang Tri, Binh Phuoc, Dong Nai, Ba Ria - Vung Tau are about 16,000 ha, including 11,000 ha of replanting and 5,000 ha of grafting.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development sets a target by 2025, to replant and replant about 107,000ha of coffee; in which, replanting 75,000 ha, grafting and renovating 32,000 ha.
To achieve the above goal, the People's Committees of the provinces will have to complete the plan of replanting and grafting coffee in the area; Organizations and individuals wishing to replant and replant coffee gardens register the plan with the Commune People's Committee and contact the bank for loans.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, scientific and technological solutions are prioritized to improve research capacity, transfer technology of replanting and grafting to improve coffee for science and technology units under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and localities.
To build a system of qualified seed gardens in the localities, meeting the demand for replanting varieties and grafting to renovate coffee gardens. Along with that is to strengthen the implementation of state management solutions on coffee varieties according to the provisions of the law so that growers can use the right varieties with appropriate standards and prices.
The agricultural sector reviews and perfects the technical process of replanting and grafting coffee to suit each ecological region, increasing the percentage of successful replanting and grafting areas; gradually replicating the coffee area according to the landscape model, suitable for each specific condition.
Units and localities propagate and transfer the technical process of replanting and transplanting coffee to producers.
Local governments and businesses can implement new policies such as offering credit packages to encourage coffee replanting; assisting in measuring and preparing documents for the issuance of land use right certificates to households and individuals for re-cultivating coffee; promoting seedlings, shoots for replanting, and grafting to improve coffee.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development will promote cooperation with the World Bank and other international institutions to facilitate low-interest ODA loans for coffee replanting and grafting; and to increase public-private partnership in coffee cultivation, processing, and consumption.
