Wishing the overseas Vietnamese community to contribute a plan for socio-economic development in Dong Nai

DNHN - The People's Committee of Dong Nai Province, in collaboration with the Committee of Overseas Vietnamese (NVNONN), organised the programme "Friendly Meeting with Overseas Vietnamese in Dong Nai Province in 2023" on April 14, 2023.
To connect overseas businessmen and companies with Dong Nai's products on the global market to invest or promote trade.

The programme attracts nearly 200 VNNONN businesses, experts, scientists, etc. The delegation visited Long Thanh International Airport and learned about its construction plans. Visit GC Food Company, an OCOP company that specialises in the export production of coconut jelly and aloe vera. The delegation visited the Industrial Parks Management Board and listened to an overview of the industrial parks in the province. Dong Nai is therefore one of the provinces with the potential to attract foreign investment and a strong interest in Vietnamese employment abroad.

"Dong Nai desires that overseas Vietnamese businesses invest and contribute more to the province. The Party Committee of the Government of Dong Nai has always regarded NVNONN as an integral part and a significant factor in promoting friendly cooperation between our country and other nations, according to Nguyen Hong Linh, secretary of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee, in the 2023 programme for friendship meetings with overseas Vietnamese.

Mr Nguyen Hong Linh added, "Implementing the Party's consistent and transparent guiding perspective, all levels of provincial government committees, agencies, and units have agreed on their awareness and actions to carry out effective implementation. The effectiveness of the Party and State's policy on overseas Vietnamese serve to mobilise overseas Vietnamese, particularly the younger generation, to remain loyal to their homeland and contribute positively to the development of the host country. Currently, becoming a bridge, contributing to promoting cooperation and friendship between Dong Nai province and communities around the world, and promoting the strength of national unity, encouraging and creating favourable conditions for fellow citizens. "Vietnamese living abroad make a positive contribution to the local economy."

Dong Nai has more than 32,000 overseas Vietnamese living and working in countries and territories around the world, nearly 18,000 overseas Vietnamese relatives living locally, and 17 businesses staffed by Vietnamese people. Living in countries around the world, as well as serving as a bridge for people-to-people exchanges, fostering cultural exchanges, and promoting goodwill between Vietnam and other nations.
The province's total budget revenue in 2022 is approximately VND 62,885,68 billion, which is 114% of the forecast and equal to 95% of the same period. The value of exports rose by 0.7% to 18.26 billion US dollars, compared to the previous value. Seventy-nine per cent of the province's import turnover amounted to USD 14.95 billion, a rise of 99 per cent over the same time frame.
In the first three months of 2023, according to the Dong Nai Department of Planning and Investment, the province attracted 7/16 projects in supporting industries with registered capital of $30.46 million, representing 58% of total registered capital. New level.

Currently, the province has 32 industrial zones, with plans to add more land to accommodate investment needs. Several industrial zones, including Ho Nai Phase 2, Than Phu - Vinh Cuu Industrial Park, and Song May Industrial Park - phase two, are in the phase of filling.

Le Hoang The, a Japanese businessman and chairman of VOS Holding Company, stated, "I am pleased and proud of the country's progress. We hope to contribute to and assist farmers in finding output for agricultural products through deep processing, to increase the number of new products, and to reduce the incidence of "good harvest" We intend to transfer the mushroom cultivation model to humans.

At the event, the Dong Nai Young Entrepreneurs Association and the Vietnam - International Business Connection Club signed a cooperation agreement.
