The Management Board of the Dong Dang-Lang Son Economic Zone informs that fruits are the most exported item to the Chinese market. Every day, Lang Son receives about 500 vehicles of goods from inland provinces, mainly fresh fruits exported to China. Although the volume of fruit cargo is large, the customs clearance time at the border gate has been shortened, reducing the risk of cargo congestion as in previous years.

At Huu Nghi International Border Gate, there were 119 export vehicles (69 fruit vehicles, 50 other cargo vehicles) and 501 import vehicles (476 cargo vehicles, 25 new vehicles). At Tan Thanh's secondary border gate, there were 275 export vehicles (224 fruit vehicles, 51 other cargo vehicles) and 174 import vehicles.

According to Tan Thanh Border Gate, during the Lunar New Year period, dragon fruit, jackfruit, and bananas are the fruits that businesses have increased their exports to the Chinese market.

Ms Nguyen Thi Ha - Head of the Plant Protection Sub-Department of Region VII, said that the export of fruits to China at border gates in Lang Son in the first month of 2024 has increased sharply, reaching a growth of about 30% compared to the same period last year. The Sub-Department has issued instructions to ensure a quick plant quarantine process, supporting export businesses.
