DNHN - On the afternoon of March 12, in Hanoi, a meeting and working session took place between the leaders of the Vietnam Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (VINASME) and representatives of the Dongying International Trade Promotion Council, China
Participating in the working session, on the VINASME side, there were Dr To Hoai Nam - Permanent Vice President cum General Secretary of VINASME, Mr Tran Van Hien - Deputy Head of VINASME’s Training and Membership Department, and Mr Pham Ha - Chief of Office of the Enterprises and Integration Magazine.
On the side of the Dongying International Trade Promotion Council, China, there were Mr Gao Ruiguo - Deputy Secretary-General of the Dongying People’s Government, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Director of the Dongying Investment Promotion Bureau; Mr Liu Ping - Head of the Exhibition Liaison Office of the Dongying International Trade Promotion Council; Mr Li Shengtian - Standing Committee Member of the Kenli County Government, Deputy Mayor of the Dongying People’s Government. In addition, there were representatives of 3 Dongying city enterprises, including Mr Shang YongFeng - Vice Chairman of Wanda Group and Chairman of Shandong Wanda Boto Tire Co., Ltd.; Mr Ming Jiyu - Chairman of Shandong Baotai Brake System Co., Ltd.; Mr Rang Haidong - Foreign Trade Director of Dongying Fangxing Rubber Co., Ltd.
At the reception, Dr To Hoai Nam briefly introduced VINASME: “VINASME is a member organisation of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. In addition, VINASME has the largest organisational model among Vietnamese representative organisations and operates under a law, the Law on Supporting Vietnamese Small and Medium Enterprises. These are 3 characteristics that make VINASME different from other representative organisations”.
“As a member of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, we are tasked with people-to-people diplomacy, as well as building legal policy mechanisms, supporting trade promotion activities with Vietnam’s partner countries, including China, and organising the dissemination of policies, guidelines of the Party, the State and the Government”, said Mr Nam.
Dr To Hoai Nam also hoped that the working session would open up opportunities for the two agencies to connect and develop exchanges between businesses of the two sides.
Also at the reception, Mr Gao Ruiguo introduced the members of the delegation to the meeting, he emphasised that the purpose of this visit and meeting with VINASME was to help 3 local enterprises seek cooperation opportunities.
Mr Gao Ruiguo shared: “Dongying City is located in Shandong Province with an area of over 8,000 km2 and a population of over 22 million. In terms of per capita income, it is always ranked in the top 1 in Shandong Province, and out of the top 500 strongest companies in China, 11 are from Shandong Province. Dongying City is an important industrial city in China and has abundant oil resources. This time, I also hope that the two sides will have more opportunities for cooperation. I hope that the delegation of the Vietnam Association of Small and Medium Enterprises can arrange a time to visit Dongying City to learn more about the city as well as seek areas of cooperation with each other”.
Representative of Dongying City Enterprises, Mr Shang Yongfeng shared: “Our company specialises in manufacturing tyres for various industries, and we are also proud to be the number 1 group in tyre manufacturing. We are currently cooperating with 3 enterprises in Vietnam and specialise in making tyre orders for enterprises in Vietnam.
Mr Ren Haidong - Foreign Trade Director of Dongying Fangxing Rubber Co., Ltd. also expressed his hope that VINASME could provide some enterprises in Vietnam that are interested in or operating in the tyre sector so that his company could boost cooperation, for example, rubber companies in Vietnam could supply raw materials for tyre production.
After listening to the sharing from the representatives of Dongying City, Dr To Hoai Nam expressed his gratitude to the delegation for inviting the VINASME delegation to visit and assessed this as a very good idea.
Dr To Hoai Nam also gave many opinions, exchanged and shared experiences of operation, and expressed his hope that this would be an opportunity to promote increasingly extensive cooperation between the Vietnam Association of Small and Medium Enterprises and the Dongying International Trade Promotion Council.
“After today’s working session, we will have a close connection with each other and will contact each other for further discussion. VINASME is always ready to support us to the best of our ability. The goal is that this year, we will introduce the 3 Dongying City enterprises here to partners in Vietnam so that the parties can directly cooperate. We also hope that the city side can continue introducing good enterprises to visit Vietnam to strengthen the long-term cooperative relationship with each other”, shared Dr To Hoai Nam.
Speaking to the Enterprises and Integration Magazine, Mr Liu Ping - Head of the Exhibition Liaison Office of the Dongying International Trade Promotion Council (China) shared: “Through this meeting, we have had the opportunity to approach good Vietnamese enterprises, and I also hope that Vietnamese enterprises and Chinese enterprises, especially enterprises in Dongying City (Shandong Province, China) will have many opportunities for cooperation in the future. In addition to the tyre and rubber sectors, we have many other sectors that we want to introduce and cooperate with Vietnam. After this time, we will also discuss and continuously update information to the Association so that the two sides can cooperate and develop together”.
