DNHN - On the morning of September 12th, leaders of the Vietnam Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (VINASME) and representatives of Siheung City Industrial Development Agency (SIDA) in Gyeonggi province, Korea met and worked together in Hanoi.

Participating in the meeting, on VINASME's side were Dr To Hoai Nam - Permanent Vice President and General Secretary of VINASME; Mr Tran Van Hien - Deputy Head of Training and Membership Committee of VINASME; Mr Nguyen Hoang Lan - Secretary of VINASME President.
Mr. Yu Byung Wook - Director of Siheung City Industrial Promotion Agency; Mr. Hong SeongYoung - Head of Import-Export Support Department under Siheung City Industry Promotion Agency; Mr. Kim Dook Won - Senior Manager of Import-Export Support Department under Siheung City Industry Promotion Agency; and Mr. Lee Dae Yeul - Head of the small and medium enterprise support group under the Siheung City Trade Promotion Agency represented Siheung City Industrial Development Agency (SIDA
Mr. Tran Van Hien began the meeting by presenting an introduction to VINASME, which included four key components: Formation and development of the Association; Operational results; Principal activities; and Key operational objectives for the period 2023 to 2028. Mr. Hien also expressed his hope that the current meeting will provide opportunities for businesses on both sides to interact, share information, and advance effective economic cooperation.
SIDA is a public organization created by the Korean government to support the growth of industrial enterprises in the city of Siheung, Gyeonggi province. During the Vietnam business trip, SIDA hopes to meet with VINASME to visit and strengthen their relationship. The purpose of this trip is to provide SIDA with the opportunity to investigate and learn about the status and development model of Vietnam's industry - a place that rapidly attracts investment from the world's leading corporations. Stable economic growth exists.

Mr. Yu Byung Wook also provided some information about Siheung City: "Siheung City has one of the highest concentrations of industrial parks in Korea, with 25,000 businesses and approximately 250,000 employees." The city focuses primarily on manufacturing fields such as electronics, machinery, semiconductors, and materials, as well as perfume and cosmetics production. Specifically, it has Numerous businesses in the city of Siheung that are currently penetrating the Vietnamese market, and many more have plans to develop in the Vietnamese market in the future. As a result of today's meeting, in addition to Strengthening the cooperative relationship between the two parties, we hope to be able to invite VINAMSE and representatives of some typical small and medium-sized businesses to Siheung City for a meeting and exchange of ideas. This is an opportunity for businesses on both sides to connect, meet, and engage in in-depth discussions about potential areas of long-term cooperation."
Mr. Yu Byung Wook stated, "I hope VINAMSE will serve as a conduit for Vietnamese and Siheung businesses to meet and participate in events together shortly."

By listening to Mr. Yu Byung Wook's presentation, To Hoai Nam thanked the SIDA delegation for inviting the VINASME delegation to visit, deeming this a brilliant idea. In addition, he disclosed that he will send a delegation of companies involved in semiconductors, electronics, steel production, and consumer goods to Siheung City. It is anticipated that the delegation will consist of 10 to 12 individuals. Mr. Nam hopes that SIDA will provide documentation about the businesses in Siheung City with which they intend to collaborate before the trip.
Mr. To Hoai Nam stated, "I hope that in addition to bringing businesses in the key areas of Siheung City, our delegation will bring two or three more agricultural businesses, which is Vietnam's strength. So that they may discover opportunities to develop or export potential products to the Korean market."
At the reception, Dr. To Hoai Nam expressed several opinions regarding the exchange and sharing of operational experiences, and he hoped that this would be an opportunity to promote the Vietnam Association of Small and Medium Enterprises' cooperation. Mr. Nam continued, "Following the meeting, we will provide you with additional useful information, including five key concepts. The first is the socio-economic development strategy; the second is the Resolution decisions, political basis, and legal basis related to the development of small and medium-sized enterprises; the third is the growth rate in 3 years (2020-2022) of Vietnam's small and medium-sized enterprise sector, especially growth in the industrial sector; and the fourth is a basic assessment of the competitiveness of Vietnamese small and medium-sized enterprises, and wishes for cooperation with Korea.
Leaders of VINASME also affirmed that the organization is always willing to assist the Siheung City Industrial Development Agency in connecting with Vietnamese businesses. This is a significant step in establishing a cooperative relationship between the two parties. The future.
