DNHN - According to the General Department of Tourism (Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism), the country received and serviced 71.8 million domestic tourists in the year's first seven months, exceeding the industry-wide goal for the entire year. The number of tourists hit 12.2 million in June alone, when summer officially began, a record high since the Covid-19 pandemic.
According to statistics, the number of tourists in the first seven months of 2022 increased nearly eightfold over the same period in 2021 and threefold over the beginning of March 2022 before tourism opened. Traditional markets have recovered, with revenue from lodging and food services increasing by 37.5%. Travel revenue grew 2.7 times over the same period the previous year. Quang Ninh, Thanh Hoa, Ho Chi Minh City, Khanh Hoa, Da Nang, Quang Nam, Can Tho.... are among the first to cross the finish line.

According to the Da Nang municipal Department of Tourism, the number of visitors and tourists visiting Da Nang is expected to reach more than 239 thousand this year during the National Day vacation- four days from September 1 to September 4, an increase of 58% over 2019.
Domestic tourists are expected to number over 215 thousand, roughly twice as many as during the same period in 2019. International visitors are expected to number around 24,000.
From August 31 to September 4, 2022, the total number of domestic and international flights to Da Nang is expected to exceed 540, including 443 domestic flights and 97 foreign flights.
According to the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism in Quang Nam, on the occasion of National Day 2/9 this year, the number of visitors and tourists to this province reached about 200,000, a 40% increase over the same time in 2019.

Tourists were projected at 132,500, a 47% increase over the same time in 2019, with overseas visitors estimated at 12,500, a 38% decrease over the same period in 2019, and domestic visitors estimated at 120,000, a 71% increase over the same period in 2019.
Staying guests were anticipated to be 57,500, up 20% from the same time in 2019, with foreign arrivals estimated to be 7,500, down 58% from the same period in 2019. Domestic tourists were estimated to be 50,000, up 67% from the same period in 2019.

Following the recovery momentum, the tourist industry in Vietnam is "warming up," according to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism. When the number of enterprises returning to operations increases, the potential for business recovery in the tourist industry becomes apparent. The reintroduction of tourism has resulted in the creation of new employment.
In particular, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism assessed and awarded 312 new licenses to foreign travel enterprises in the first half of 2022 (an increase of 286 documents compared to 2021), swapped 65 permits, and cancelled 38 permits. There will be 2,415 international travel enterprises in the United States by the end of June 2022. There are now 1,060 domestic travel enterprises licensed by municipalities. Currently, the country has around 33,330 tourist lodging businesses with a total of 667,000 rooms, including 215 5-star hotels with 72,000 rooms and 334 4-star hotels with 45,000 rooms...
Summer 2022 saw a dramatic recovery of Vietnam's tourist sector, with numerous places around the country attracting a record number of visitors at the same time. The potential of tourist enterprises recovering becomes clearer as the number of businesses returning to operation grows.
Furthermore, management agencies and tourism businesses have boldly developed a smart tourism ecosystem across the country that is deployed on a cloud computing platform, applications, information systems, databases, and human resources are strong enough to manage and operate..., all of which contribute to the realization of the goal of providing smart tourism services for tourists, improving management and operating capacity, and serving people and businesses.
Following a long period of silence due to the epidemic, many stimulus programs were continuously launched by localities, particularly many appealing new tourism products that were invested in time, stimulating the wave of tourism strongly revived inland throughout the provinces and cities across the country.
