DNHN - During the 16th year of the Vietnam Tall Milk Fund, during the first milk donation in 2023, nearly 400,000 cartons of milk were donated to more than 4,000 children.
Where milk is children's simple delight.
As a mountainous and midland province in the coastal region, with more than 80% of the land being hilly, Quang Ninh is home to 22 different ethnic groups, the majority of which are the Dao, Tay, San Diu, San Chay, Hoa, and Muong. Particularly in the district of Binh Lieu, up to 95.8% of the population consists of ethnic minorities.
The majority of households here are in a difficult situation, with parents frequently working in the fields. Through direct nutrition examination and counseling with 210 students at Huc Dong Primary School (Huc Dong Commune, Binh Lieu District, Quang Ninh Province), the doctors of Vinamilk Nutrition Centre determined that up to 82.4% (174 children) were malnourished or at risk of malnutrition.

Milk is a familiar food for the majority of city children, as nearly every child consumes 1-2 cans per day. In contrast, this is the first time in highland districts such as Huc Dong that milk will be included on the school's menu every day for the next three months.
Doctor Nguyen Vinh Hoang Oanh - Vinamilk Nutrition Centre - said, "We hope the program will initially help children form the habit of drinking milk; at the same time, it helps parents see more clearly the improvement of their children's physical health, thereby attempting to maintain milk supplementation for children."
This is the first time many students from the nearby Vo Ngai Kindergarten have seen so much milk. Each infant sat upright, eagerly awaiting milk, and drank it all in "one note" The black eyes also reflected the subsequent smile.

Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy, a student who received milk in the first batch, said, "I'm ecstatic, and I wish all the children could receive the same present as me today."
Realize childhood fantasies
To fulfill Thuy's wish for all children to drink milk, Vinamilk, and Vietnam Rising Milk Fund continue to distribute milk to disadvantaged and unfortunate children across the country for the sixteenth consecutive year.
On the occasion of International Children's Day, Vinamilk continued to distribute more than 141,000 cartons of milk to nearly 1,600 children in Nghe An and more than 134,000 cartons of Vinamilk ADM milk to 1,500 children in Quang Ngai. Several other communities, including Lang Son, Hung Yen, Thanh Hoa, Phuc Hoa, and Can Tho, received milk during phase 1 in a total quantity of nearly 400,000 cartons.

In the second semester of the school year 2022-2023, the children began drinking milk in April and continued until the end of the school year, before the start of summer break. With the cooperation of their teachers, children can drink milk regularly and on time for 90 days during the first three months of school.
"During the summer, the Milk Fund will also transfer milk to the shelters and shelters where children reside and attend school." As for schools, once the new semester of the 2023-2024 school year begins in September, Vinamilk will deliver more than a million milk cartons to their children, according to Ms. Vu Thi Thuy Huyen, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Children's Fund (BTTE).
Collectively, "let every child drink milk every day"
Vinamilk & Vietnam BTTE Fund, in close cooperation with the local BTTE Fund, the provincial Departments of Labour, Invalids, and Social Affairs in making a list, monitoring, inspecting, guiding the preservation, and ensuring effective implementation ensure that milk cartons reach the correct children in need and that milk consumption is conducted by regulations.
Beginning with the product selection process, great care has been taken. Accordingly, this year's selected product line is Vinamilk ADM milk, a product containing essential vitamins and minerals for children that is suitable for Milk Fund recipients.

Currently, the factories are preparing for the second milk production of the year to ensure the program's milk supply. "Each carton of milk produced by Vinamilk is meticulously inspected for quality before being shipped to milk recipients, such as schools in remote, mountainous, and remote areas... Annually, the factory is tasked with producing products for the Milk Fund. The director of Vinamilk's Tien Son Factory in Bac Ninh, Mr. Nguyen Chi Cuong, remarked that for factory employees, contributing to the company's meaningful program is also a source of pride.

The Vietnam Rising Milk Fund is the largest nutrition care program for children and is implemented over the long term to achieve the mission of "Let every child drink milk daily." Vietnam Tall Milk Fund has donated over 42 million cartons of nutritious milk and sent love to over 500,000 children across Vietnam with a total support value of VND 200 billion after 16 years.
