DNHN - In preparation for the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan, the Vietnam-Japan friendship pedestrian bridge was inaugurated in Da Nang on the afternoon of July 1.
Mr Odaka Yoshimune, chairman of Mikazuki Hotel Group, stated that the Da Nang Mikazuki Resort and Entertainment pedestrian bridge crosses Nguyen Tat Thanh Street to the sea. The bridge will create the most convenient and secure conditions for people and visitors to cross the street. This is also a location where tourists can view the beach and beautiful scenery of Da Nang.

The Mikazuki flyover is nearly 13 metres tall, more than 140 metres long, and has a floor area of approximately 655 square metres; its construction cost was approximately 42 billion Vietnamese Dong. The bridge is designed in a modern Japanese architectural style, and the path leading up to the bridge on both sides of the observatory is modelled after a Japanese knitting knot, demonstrating the cohesion between the two Vietnamese cultures. - Japan.

The combination of wooden curves and Japanese-inspired details creates a modern yet traditional character. Outside are two observatories equipped with a steel spiral staircase and a lift so that disabled individuals can access the bridge with ease.

Mikazuki Hotel Group Japan in Da Nang coordinated with local authorities to inaugurate and put into use the Mikazuki flyover at Xuan Thieu Tourist Area (Hoa Hiep Nam ward, Lien Chieu district, Da Nang city), symbolising the harmonious relationship between the two countries in preparation for the 50th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan (1973 - 2023).
