DNHN - In the first 6 months, 40,667 businesses have reopened, a 55.6 per cent increase over the same period in 2021 and 1.9 times the average from 2017 to 2021 (20,949 enterprises).
Business Registration Management Department (Ministry of Planning and Investment), the total registered capital of newly founded firms was VND 882,122 billion, 1.2 times the average from 2017 to 2021 (749,019 billion dongs).
The number of newly founded businesses has surged dramatically in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Hanoi has 14,628 newly founded businesses, an increase of 9.8 per cent over the same time in 2021. In Ho Chi Minh City, this figure is 22,469, an increase of 11.5 per cent over the same time the previous year.

Importantly, 40,667 businesses have reopened since the beginning of the year, representing a 55.6 per cent increase over the same period in 2021 and 1.9 times the average from 2017 to 2021 (20,949 enterprises).
The following industries have the most firms returning to operation: wholesale; retail; automobile and motorcycle maintenance (15,381 enterprises, accounting for 37.8 per cent); building (5,015 enterprises, accounting for 12.3 per cent); processing and manufacturing (4,493 enterprises, accounting for 11.0 per cent).
Production and distribution, electricity, water, and gas (652 enterprises, up 222.8 per cent); other service activities (1,124 enterprises, up 202.2 per cent); real estate business (1,409 enterprises, up 69.6 per cent); wholesale; retail; repairing cars and motorcycles (15,381 enterprises, up 68.2 per cent); education and training (977 businesses) (2,362 businesses, up 63.5 per cent).
