DNHN - According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the national petroleum management and administration database system went live on May 20.
This system was designed and implemented to enhance state management in the petroleum industry, avoid breaches in petroleum business operations, and assist authorities in the management of petroleum products supply and demand regulation.
The functioning of the national petroleum management and administration database system is separated into phases, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
In the first stage, beginning May 20, 2022, the national petroleum management and operational database system will be applied to the major petrol and oil merchants and other dealers distributing petroleum with basic system criteria to meet the demands of petroleum management and administration at the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
After three months, the system will be ready to manage the full petroleum trading system, with more precise needs and higher standards than the first phase.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade has currently generated accounts for all merchants in phase 1, including 2 production traders, 38 petroleum wholesalers, and 329 petrol and oil distributors. A variety of reports for production merchants, petroleum wholesalers, and petrol and oil distributors were also updated by the system.
This system will be run and tested regularly, with frequent collaboration between the Ministries of Industry and Trade and Information and Communications to evaluate, rectify, and add features at the request of State management.
