The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam proposes to increase flights on some routes during the holidays

DNHN - The Vietnam Civil Aviation Administration has just sent a document to Vietnamese airlines requesting that they consider increasing Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City flights. Ho Chi Minh City from April 30 to May 1 to commemorate Hung King's death anniversary
According to the Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam and data reported by Vietnamese airlines, the total number of seats supplied to the market on the route from Hanoi to key tourist destinations such as Nha Trang, Da Nang, Hue, Da Lat, Phu Quoc, Tuy Hoa, Quy Nhon, and Dong Hoi during the two peak days of April 28 and 29 is approximately 41,000.
On April 29, the occupancy rate was particularly high, reaching 100% on the Hanoi-Hue route, 93% on the Hanoi-Tuy Hoa route, and over 96% on the Hanoi-Dong Hoi/Quy Nhon route…
Similarly, on April 29, the number of reservations for Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi tourist routes increased. Approximately 40,000 seats are available between Ho Chi Minh City and the above-mentioned major tourist destinations. On routes such as TP Ho Chi Minh City-Quy Nhon/Phu Quoc/Tuy Hoa, the occupancy rate surpassed 80%.
Flights to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City are available in the opposite direction. Ho Chi Minh City also has a high booking rate on May 2 and 3. Phu Quoc, Quy Nhon, Hue, and Tuy Hoa to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City routes. The rate in Ho Chi Minh City reached over 80 percent.
The Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam has asked airlines to consider increasing flights on routes departing from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City in light of the aforementioned circumstances, to strengthen solutions to better serve the travel needs of the people, ensure traffic order and safety during the Hung Kings Commemoration Holiday and the 30/4-1/5 holiday, and to better serve the travel needs of the people during these holidays. From Ho Chi Minh City to popular tourist destinations such as Phu Quoc, Tuy Hoa, Binh Dinh, Cam Ranh, and Con Dao, especially on April 28-29 and May 1-2.
Previously, airlines have announced plans to provide seats for flights between April 30 and May 1 in advance. Representatives of Vietnam Airlines and Vasco announced at the beginning of April that the airlines will offer nearly 551,000 seats (equivalent to nearly 2,800 flights) on domestic routes from April 26 to May 5.
Even though airlines have prepared plans to provide flights for the occasion of April 30 - May 1 since early, but only two weeks prior, ticket prices continue to rise daily. Even numerous flights have reported sold-out or limited availability of seats.
To meet the rising demand for air travel, airlines are continuing to increase the number of available seats, while simultaneously working to improve service quality and increase on-time performance.
