The 2024 Ho Chi Minh City tourist stimulus event brought together around 100 businesses

DNHN - Through this activity, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism connects tourism corporations and businesses to develop products and tours with preferential prices and deep discounts for tourists.
On April 3, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism announced the 2024 Tourism Stimulus Programme, aiming to boost the tourism industry in the city. This programme is implemented with the cooperation of departments, sectors and tourism, travel, and business units, with a stimulus discount of up to 60%.
Specifically, businesses participating in the programme have signed Memorandums of Understanding on cooperation agreements and will introduce and sell the programme directly to tourists at the 2024 Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Festival, taking place from April 4-7, 2024 at 23/9 Park, District 1. The programme brings together nearly 100 travel businesses, accommodation facilities, food and beverage, shopping, entertainment and recreation with 36 tourism programmes discounted from 10-60%.

In particular, the network of service establishments that have met the standards for serving tourists has implemented deep discounts with 200,000 discount vouchers with a total value of up to VND50 billion. The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade is also participating in this programme with a discount of 20-50%.
The 2024 Tourism Stimulus Programme aims to extend the length of stay, increase the average spending of guests, and increase revenue for the tourism industry. The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism also calls on the business community to participate in commitments to service quality and expand the chain of tour products and services.
In addition, the National Assembly has approved a new visa policy extending the e-visa period from 30 days to 90 days, valid for multiple entries, to encourage tourism. The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism has connected tourism corporations and businesses to develop products and tours with preferential prices and deep discounts for tourists.
