In addition to Thu Dau Mot, Thuan An, Di An, and Tan Uyen, this is the fourth city directly under Binh Duong province. The established city of Tan Uyen is anticipated to make significant advances in socio-economic development, urbanisation, and transport infrastructure, aspiring to become a Binh Duong-type smart city.
Strong industrial growth is observed in Tan Uyen.
Tan Uyen, a locality in the southeast of Binh Duong, is adjacent to four communities in the provinces of Binh Duong and Dong Nai. This is advantageous for attracting industry, services, and commerce investment to this region.

The fact that LEGO built such a large factory indicates that the position and function of Tan Uyen City will increase in significance shortly, as Binh Duong strives to transform the entire province into a centrally-affiliated city.
The VSIP III industrial park will be approximately 1,000 hectares in size, and the total infrastructure investment is anticipated to exceed 6,400 billion VND. There are approximately 31 domestic and international companies investigating the possibility of product development in this area, which would require 176 hectares of industrial land and an expected investment capital of USD 1.8 billion.
