DNHN - The air transport industry in Vietnam has significantly contributed to the country's gross domestic product, accounting for 5.2%. This demonstrates the significance of the aviation industry in promoting sustainable economic growth.
At the Vietnam International Exhibition and Aviation Industry Forum (VIAE 2023) in Ho Chi Minh City and the Innovation Horizon 5.0 Forum, the General Director of Airbus in Vietnam announced a new demand forecast.
This forecast indicates that this region will become the primary market for wide-body aircraft, highlighting the need for 17,580 new aircraft, including passenger and cargo aircraft, representing more than 44 million new aircraft. This is certainly good news for Vietnam's aviation industry, which is on a strong development trajectory.
The air transport industry in Vietnam has contributed significantly to the country's gross domestic product, accounting for 5.2% of the national total. This demonstrates the significance of the aviation industry in promoting sustainable economic growth. Ms. Hoang Tri Mai, general director of Airbus Vietnam, consistently emphasized the significance of sustainable development in the aviation growth roadmap for Vietnam. She also pledged to assist Vietnam in implementing its commitments to sustainable development by applying Airbus's innovations and cutting-edge technology.
The close collaboration between Airbus and the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST) to enhance Vietnam's aerospace management capacity is another noteworthy aspect. The VNREDSat-2 satellite program is a prime example of a significant initiative to promote national strength in the fields of technology and space.
Through promoting cooperation with domestic partners, Airbus hopes to promote research and development activities to advance technological progress and create opportunities for Vietnam to take the lead in innovation in its field. The aviation industry in the Asia-Pacific region.
