DNHN - Despite the problems imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic, La Vie, a part of the Nestlé Group (Switzerland), was recently recognized as one of the Top 10 typical FDI firms in terms of green growth and sustainable development in 2021-2022.

The ranking is a part of the Vietnam Economic Review's 21st Golden Dragon Awards Program, which was established in 2001 to honour foreign-invested firms (FDI) that have made remarkable contributions to the local community and the Vietnamese economy.
In 2022, the program chose the Top 10 and Top 50 typical FDI firms in green growth and sustainable development from over 600 nominations and participating units.
This year's Top 10 are brands with significant growth results associated with strategies and action plans to aggressively execute green and digital transformation, provide safe, egalitarian, and humane workplace practices, and actively contribute to corporate social responsibility. La Vie is the only beverage company to make the Top 10.
The rankings were announced within the framework of the Vietnam Connect Forum 2022 (Vietnam Connect Forum) jointly organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Vietnam Economic Review on April 8.

Develop company plans that incorporate sustainable development and environmental preservation aims
La Vie has always linked production and business activities with the goal of sustainable development and environmental protection, through the activities "Creating Shared Value" (CSV).
La Vie pledges to a zero-waste future by promoting recycled plastic and limiting the use of virgin plastic in product packaging as a way to contribute to the reduction of plastic emissions into the environment.
Therefore, in January 2021, despite having just spent nearly a year battling the Covid-19 outbreak, La Vie debuted the world's first natural mineral water product in bottles produced from high-quality recycled plastic. Simultaneously, we are expanding this program to promote the circular economy in Vietnam by repurposing post-consumer packaging.
In 2019, the company launched La Vie glass bottles and began collecting bottles in collaboration with wholesalers, restaurants, and hotels. La Vie was the first firm in Vietnam's drinking water industry to discontinue using bottle cap shrink film in 2018 because it is an unneeded plastic component that cannot be recovered or recycled. Almost of La Vie items are now recyclable in their entirety.
Not only is La Vie committed to sustainable packaging, but it is also a founding member of the Vietnam Packaging Recycling Alliance (PRO Vietnam). PRO Vietnam brings together leading businesses in retail and packaging manufacturing to promote the circular economy by making product packaging collection and recycling more accessible and sustainable.

Fausto Tazzi, General Director of La Vie, said: “As a leading company in the field of natural mineral water in Vietnam, our priority is to preserve precious mineral water and implement initiatives to improve the quality of mineral water. provide high-quality drinking water products to consumers in an environmentally sustainable manner. As a natural mineral water company, we need to ensure sustainability for nature. Therefore, we have made efforts with a commitment to environmental sustainability, about water resources, plastic packaging and carbon emissions”.
“At Nestlé and La Vie, we understand that sustainability is not enough, so we are starting a journey towards the regeneration of the environment. We aim to make a positive impact on the environment and society, to help preserve ecosystems, regenerate and restore the environment for today and future generations,” Mr Fausto Tazzi added.
La Vie aims to contribute to creating a positive impact on water resources in the places where the company operates by 2025.
La Vie is now the only firm in Vietnam to have been awarded the inteInternationaliance for Water Stewardship (AWS) certification. AWS standards are used globally with extremely stringent requirements, assisting water users in comprehending the region's water resource concerns. From there, take specific, transparent activities and work with local communities to overcome obstacles to ensuring the shared water source's survival.
