DNHN - Korean businesses have expressed a desire to import agricultural and seafood products from Vietnam, while also researching and developing cosmetics and pharmaceuticals from the unique ingredients of Ca Mau.
Vice Chairman of the Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee, Le Van Su, emphasized promising sectors such as the export of agricultural and seafood products, tourism development, and carbon credits.

Notably, with the largest area of mangrove forest in the Mekong Delta, Ca Mau is an important carbon resource but still needs support in experience and guidance from the central government for effective implementation. Additionally, Nino Nhau products were introduced as a new investment potential, with the hope of seeking partners to develop production technology and enhance commercial value.
Regarding tourism, Ca Mau province expects to strengthen connections with South Korean businesses, especially by organizing long tours to attract tourists to explore the local ecosystem, cuisine, and culture. The Vice Chairman encouraged South Korean businesses to conduct practical visits to understand the potential and provide suggestions to address challenges in cooperation.

Ca Mau will participate in the Vietnam-Korea cultural exchange program in Ho Chi Minh City in March 2025. To prepare, the provincial government has assigned units such as the Department of Industry and Trade and iPEC to organize distinctive cultural and culinary performances to make a mark at this event. During the meeting, South Korean businesses expressed a desire to import Vietnamese agricultural and seafood products, while also researching and developing cosmetics and pharmaceuticals from the unique ingredients of Ca Mau. Furthermore, businesses are also interested in developing two-way tourism tours and organizing cultural exchange programs.
The Vice Chairman of the Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee instructed relevant departments and sectors to closely coordinate to implement specific projects, from building geographical indications for Ca Mau crab to trade promotion and expanding export markets to South Korea. Regarding carbon credits, the province is ready to cooperate when detailed guidance is provided by the central government.
In the coming time, Ca Mau will continue to strive to establish relationships with various levels of South Korean government to promote substantive and sustainable cooperation.
