DNHN - With economic growth momentum exceeding double digits (11.1 per cent) in the first six months of 2022, and while continuously expanding and building Industrial Parks and Industrial Zones, a new industrial cluster provides the foundation for Hai Phong to attract a big number of people. According to the Economic Management Board, Hai Phong's industrial zones currently require approximately 24,000 extra workers.
June 14, the total number of employees in Hai Phong's 13 industrial parks and economic zones was 95. 123, with 91. 031 working. From the beginning of the year to the present, over 21,000 new employees have been hired; yet, this number does not match the needs of enterprises.
Currently, enterprises in the city need to hire almost 24,000 more workers, 500 of whom are managers and over 1,000 are high-level technical professionals.

The Standing Board of the City Party Committee implements Action Program No. 76 to focus on building and extending 15 new industrial zones with a total area of 6,418 ha by 2025. On June 22, the Zone Management Board Hai Phong Economy declared the adoption of investment policy in the Vinh Bao district's Tien Thanh, Tien Lang, and Giang Bien industrial park projects.
Tien Thanh Industrial Park and Giang Bien Industrial Park open, raising the total number of active industrial zones in the city to 15, while also attracting a big number of workers, creating many jobs for local people, and attracting workers.

Supporting the construction of housing for workers in industrial zones is a new element of the city's labour-attraction rules and strategies. Two investors were issued the investment certificate for an approximately $87 million worker housing project in Hai Phong on February 25.
The construction project is owned by two investors: Pegatron Vietnam Co., Ltd. and Universal Scientific Industrial Vietnam Co., Ltd. The total investment capital for the two projects is 86.64 million USD, and 8 ha of land is utilized. In operation, the project will provide housing for more than 14,000 employees.

The housing project for workers in industrial zones will resolve several challenging problems for businesses, such as eliminating the need for staff to relocate or rent in unsuitable places.
Employers are not required to provide transportation for employees, thereby saving time and money and stabilizing productivity. This will be the foundation for the city to continue to attract workers and foreign investors to invest, construct, and develop, contributing to the effective fulfilment of Resolution No. 45's suggested aims.
