Dong Thap (Vietnam) - Yeoncheon (Korea) deploys cooperation contents

DNHN - In March of last year, the People's Committees of Dong Thap Province and Yeoncheon District, Gyeonggi-do Province (Korea) signed a cooperation agreement. To implement the signed contents, the Yeoncheon district delegation continued to visit and work
On the morning of June 6, a delegation led by Mr Park Chong Min - Vice Mayor of Yeoncheon District, and representatives of the Agricultural Policy Department of three cities in the province of Gyeonggi-do: Pocheon, Paju, and Yangju worked on the Committee. People's Committee of the province of Dong Thap. Mr Phan Van Thang - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee/Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Mr Doan Tan Buu - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and leaders of departments, provincial sector, received the delegation.
During the meeting, the two sides focused on discussing the establishment of an agricultural technical centre in Dong Thap based on the model of support from the Yeoncheon district; improving the programme to send Dong Thap workers to seasonal workers in Yeoncheon district and some cities in Gyeonggi-do province; exchanging cadres and civil servants to share and learn experience in official duties; and cooperating in the field of physical training and sports.
Mr Doan Tan Buu, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, has committed to directing departments, branches, and units to adhere to the committed contents and facilitate cooperation programmes for effective implementation.
Regarding the seasonal labour programme in the district of Yeoncheon, Mr Park Chong Min stated that the local labour shortage has been resolved. Therefore, he desires to continue implementing the seasonal worker’s programme and researching to better support Dong Thap workers. And the exchange of cadres and government employees between the two sides will contribute to the improvement of this cooperation.
Phan Van Thang, standing deputy secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, proposed that for each cooperation content, departments and branches of Dong Thap and each unit of Yeoncheon district, as well as representatives from three cities in Gyeonggi-do province, would have closer cohesion, thereby facilitating the exchange of more specific information. Shortly, the province of Dong Thap will send a delegation to Yeoncheon to study the model of an agricultural technical centre to deploy locally; concurrently, it will coordinate the organisation of cultural exchange activities between Vietnam and Korea.
After the meeting, officials from the Department of Home Affairs, Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, and the district of Yeoncheon signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the field of physical training and sports and dispatched officials to Yeoncheon and Dong Thap.
After meeting with the Provincial People's Committee, the delegation of Yeoncheon district will work with the Department of Labour - Invalids and Social Affairs on the seasonal labour programme; work with the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism on physical training and Sports cooperation; sign a memorandum of understanding with Tam Nong district on the seasonal programme; and visit the families of Yeoncheon district workers.
