DNHN - The provincial People’s Committee’s Permanent Vice Chairman pledges to create the most favourable conditions for Kine SIC Semi to invest in Bac Ninh province.
On the morning of 28th February, comrade Vuong Quoc Tuan, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, received and met with Kine SIC Semi (USA), led by Mr Johnny Nguyen, Vice Chairman of the company’s Board of Directors, who came to learn about the investment environment in Bac Ninh province.
Expressing his sincere gratitude for the warm welcome from the provincial leaders, Mr Johnny Nguyen said that Kine SIC Semi was founded in the USA in 2017 and specialises in manufacturing high-tech chips that can be used in a wide range of fields. In particular, the company’s chips are of good quality and are cheaper than those on the market, making them suitable for the Southeast Asian market.
Emphasising that Vietnam is a land with potential and has the raw materials to produce chips, Kine SIC Semi hopes that Bac Ninh province will create conditions for it to explore investment in building a factory in the province with an initial area of 7,500m2 and a total investment of around 200 million USD.
Welcoming Kine SIC Semi to explore the investment environment in Bac Ninh province, the Permanent Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Vuong Quoc Tuan gave an overview of the province’s socio-economic development and investment attraction over the past period. The province currently has 16 concentrated industrial parks with an occupancy rate of over 90%, attracting more than 2,000 projects from various countries and territories, including projects from the USA.
In particular, in October 2023, Amkor Technology Group - a global leader in semiconductor packaging and testing technology - inaugurated a factory for the production, assembly and testing of semiconductor materials and equipment in Yen Phong II-C Industrial Park, Bac Ninh province, with a total area of 23 hectares. This is an important milestone and a new driving force for the development of the high-tech industry in Bac Ninh province in the coming period, which will help attract major investors from around the world.
Emphasising the goal of becoming the centre of the semiconductor industry in the country, the Permanent Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee said that, in addition to strengthening administrative procedure reform and improving the investment and business environment to attract investment actively, Bac Ninh province has also focused on research to issue a resolution on supporting investment, training and high-quality human resources for the semiconductor industry.
The Permanent Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee pledged to create the most favourable conditions for Kine SIC Semi to invest in Bac Ninh province. He assigned the provincial Industrial Park Management Board to be the focal point for communication, contact and support for the company in the coming period.
