DNHN - With its coastal location, Do Son tourism has emerged in recent years as a must-see destination. In 2024, Do Son will continue to lead the way with new types of tourism that have never been seen in the North.

Heritage landmarks
Do Son is known as one of the most beautiful beaches in Indochina. Taking advantage of the natural elements and investing in the development of the transport system, the French turned this area into a major holiday destination based on a series of strengths: easy access, a variety of legendary monuments, picturesque scenery, and fresh air.
According to Mr Pham Hoang Tuan, Vice Chairman of Do Son District People’s Committee, there have been many places and relics that have been recognised by the Vietnam Record Organisation, such as Hon Dau Island - the only place to determine the national coordinates of Vietnam; the Buffalo Fighting Festival - the oldest and most unique folk festival in Vietnam; Do Son Cave Temple - the first place where Buddhism entered Vietnam by sea; and many other famous places.
Beach tourism leads the way
In 2024, Do Son aims to welcome 3.8 million tourists. In addition, revenue from accommodation and catering services will reach over VND 3,145 billion. This is a completely feasible goal when in 2024, Do Son in particular and Hai Phong in general promise to launch many new tourism products to attract domestic and foreign tourists.

According to information from Do Son District, tourism in 2024 will have many new features that promise to attract visitors, especially families and young people. In terms of accommodation, Do Son currently has the international standard Dream Dragon Resort with 303 rooms, 2 indoor and outdoor swimming pools, 2 restaurants, etc., which is enough to meet the high-class resort needs of tourists when they come to Do Son.
In addition, to fully meet the needs of entertainment and exploration, Do Son District and the investor of Dragon Ocean International Tourism are researching and completing the necessary procedures to put into operation a 2,000-ha mangrove forest. Here, for the first time in the North, there will be a kayaking experience in the mangrove forest that was previously thought to only exist in the West.
In addition, the 3-ha Dragon Ocean Light Park is also being urgently implemented to open soon to welcome visitors. This is one of the many new unique features of this summer in Do Son. Dragon Ocean Light Park is located in the Legend Park complex, which is a reasonable addition to become a place of entertainment and attract visitors both day and night.
