DNHN - On October 15, 2025, in Hanoi, VINASME and Jeonnam Technopark (Korea) signed an MOU to promote trade, advance technology transfer, and develop human resources between enterprises of both nations.
Representing Vietnam, Dr. Tô Hoài Nam, Standing Vice President and General Secretary of VINASME, chaired the meeting. The Korean delegation was led by Dr. Oh Ik Hyun, President of Jeonnam Technopark, accompanied by representatives from 12 leading enterprises engaged in high technology, modern agriculture, and smart manufacturing.
Attending the ceremony on behalf of VINASME were Mr. Nguyễn Văn Từ, Chief of Office; Ms. Nguyễn Thị Lan Hương, Editor-in-Chief of Business & Integration Magazine; Mr. Trần Văn Hiển, MSc, Deputy Head of the Training and Membership Department; Mr. Ứng Trọng Tú, Chairman of the SME Tourism Chapter; Ms. Nguyễn Thị Minh Thanh, Chairwoman of the SME Women Entrepreneurs Chapter; along with numerous association members and representatives from the press.
Jeonnam Technopark, under the government of Jeonnam Province, is known as a future-oriented technology hub for small and medium enterprises. It focuses on key sectors such as artificial intelligence (AI), information and communications technology (ICT), smart healthcare, clean energy, and advanced agricultural technology.
Under the MOU, the two parties agreed to collaborate across four key pillars: sharing information and implementing enterprise support programs; organizing both online and in-person B2B networking activities; exchanging experts, advisors, and investors; and developing joint cooperation projects for the 2025–2028 period in human resource training, trade promotion, and technology transfer.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Tô Hoài Nam emphasized: “VINASME always accompanies, advises, and provides full support to international enterprises entering Vietnam. We take pride in the fact that out of every 10 business connections we facilitate, 4 involve successful partnerships with Korean companies, and this number will certainly continue to rise.”
Regarding labor demand, Ms. Trần Thị Lan, Director of Vietnam-Korea Human Resource Supply Company, representing Vietnamese enterprises, noted that Vietnam is fully capable of meeting Korean businesses’ workforce requirements through an order-based training model in close cooperation with universities, colleges, and high schools. This model ensures not only high-quality vocational skills but also alignment with the specific labor demands proposed by Korean partners.
The signing of the MOU between VINASME and Jeonnam Technopark concluded in a friendly and cooperative atmosphere, reaffirming both sides’ determination to expand collaboration. The event marks a new milestone in Vietnam-Korea relations and opens up practical prospects in technology, trade, and human resource development, contributing to stronger enterprise connectivity, enhanced competitiveness, and regional integration.
