DNHN - Da Nang can completely become a world-class livable city, but this depends first of all on a worthy urban infrastructure development strategy. In particular, it is important to attract rich and talented people to work, enjoy and dedicate.

Engage in the international competition
At the seminar "Developing Da Nang worthy of the name of a city worth visiting and worth living" on June 27, experts said it is necessary to put Da Nang in the international competition to become the top livable destination.
According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Dinh Thien, former Director of the Vietnam Institute of Economics, Da Nang is already a place worth visiting, but in order to become a place worth living, attracting talented personnel to work and dedicate, Da Nang must always place in an international competitive position, with a position as a leading center of digital technology. This is the only way to break through in the future.

"To be a place worth living, it must originate from everyday and delicate factors. In which, it must ensure the development of a green, smart, sustainable, and safe urban area; good health, education, and public service ecosystem; hospitable, honest people; not only create a favorable business environment but also promotes creativity. The above factors must be pervasive, creating competitivity between other localities as well as at the international level," Mr. Thanh analyzed. He also emphasized the importance of attracting super-rich, high-quality, highly-skilled human resources to reside and work in the area. This is a crucial criterion for evaluating a place worth living because they are trend-setters with high expectations.

Ms. Dang Phuong Hang, General Director of CBRE Vietnam, concurred that Da Nang should be compared to the most livable cities in the world. For example, Melbourne (Australia) has topped the list of the most livable cities in the world for many years. This is a wonderful city, an extremely fresh environment, a thriving economy, the capital of economy, tourism, culture, art, industry, commerce, and urban areas. Many large Australian companies and multinational joint ventures have their headquarters in Melbourne. This is also home to Australia's largest port, with many auto industries, transport infrastructure systems, healthcare, education, well-invested liveable urban areas...
Looking back at Da Nang, Ms. Hang shared: “Recently, I happened to work with 5 very large investment groups abroad in industrial parks, logistics, and real estate investment. The question they asked was what kind of human resources are in Da Nang? If we want to invite the "giant" of real estate, industry, logistics... to invest in Da Nang, their requirements are very high, especially human resources. Therefore, Da Nang must do how to attract high-class human resources to work here for a long time, " said Ms. Hang.
Enhancing the quality of life, perfecting the ecosystem for the super-rich
According to the expert, in order to attract the super-rich and high-level human resources to settle down and serve the development of Da Nang, it is necessary to create an ecosystem that meets their strict requirements.
Architects. Tran Ngoc Chinh, Chairman of the Vietnam Urban Development Planning Association, set out the criteria for a worth living city where there are global citizens: “This livability is aimed at the rich. In other words, what must Da Nang offer for businessmen and billionaires from around the world to purchase an apartment or villa and bring their yachts to live here?"

What does the ecosystem for the super-rich include? First, we must attract tourists to Da Nang with luxury travel services. “Adding more luxury services, including yachts. Da Nang must be able to produce yachts, must have a yacht center to meet the needs of the rich," emphasized Mr. Cao Tri Dung - Chairman of Da Nang Tourism Association.
One rich customer spends as much as hundreds of ordinary customers. Therefore, Da Nang needs high-class shopping and commercial services, with upmarket townhouses, or commercial centers that gather the world's most luxurious brands, followed by a financial center that serves both tourists and locals.
Next is to create a worthy living space. “When investors develop new urban projects, it is necessary to pay attention to how to create civilized and high-class urban areas for people to live long-term, different from short-term rest. The chain of accompanying utility services must also be worthy," noted Ms. Dang Phuong Hang.
Experts say Da Nang needs to promote all inherent potentials and advantages to create its own identity. “That is the identity of a coastal city, with mountains, forests, and rivers interspersed with each other. Therefore, Da Nang urban planning should stick to rivers, create high-class riverside cities, rich in identity, and promote natural strengths," said Mr. Tran Ngoc Chinh.
The journey of creating an ecosystem for the elite in Da Nang is receiving great attention with the appearance of Sun Property - the luxury real estate brand of Sun Group. After two Sun World brands, Sun Hospitality Group has established a name in Da Nang, recently Sun Group officially brought Sun Property to Da Thanh. This is the third "leg" in the famous 3S ecosystem of Sun Group.

Sharing about the investment strategy in Da Nang, Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Thuy Linh - General Director of Sun Property said: "With the mission to contribute to making Da Nang worthy of the status of a livable city of international stature, we will create riverside urban areas towards the upper class. This is a way for talented and rich people to choose Da Nang as a place to enjoy a peaceful life in an elite, safe, fully equipped community. In the near future, in addition to the luxurious riverside urban area project, we will launch world-class commercial and entertainment neighborhoods suitable for developing modern business models, as well as suitable real estate for rent. Our orientation, is to look at the shortcomings of Da Nang, to look at the needs of customers to develop, to serve the needs of enjoying life and working in Da Nang to the fullest.
In conclusion, experts assess, a livable city must be a place to enjoy the beauty, to explore, to attract both talented and rich people to experience, create and contribute. “Being in a global race, it takes a lot of effort, but we believe that Da Nang will do it. In this journey, it is necessary to have big enterprises to accompany them to build", Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Dinh Thien affirmed.
