Miss Supranational 2013 will attend a media meeting and the first news conference of Miss Sea Island Vietnam 2022 on July 2 in Ho Chi Minh City, as scheduled.
Miss Mutya Johanna Datul is visiting Vietnam for the second time: “Remember the first time I visited Vietnam in July 2019, I was highly amazed by the exceptionally active Ho Chi Minh City. I like a variety of tasty foods in Vietnam, including pho, banh mi, and iced milk coffee... When I arrived in Vietnam for the second time, I was ecstatic; I can't wait to get to know everyone and meet Miss Sea and Island Vietnam 2022.”
Mutya Johanna Datul, representing the Philippines, overcame 80 other contestants to be elected Miss Supranational 2013. The beauty, who was born in 1992, was 21 years old and 1.73m tall at the time.

The Miss Supranational beauty contest debuted in 2009 in the Polish city of Pock. After thirteen years, Miss Supranational is regarded as one of the world's six largest beauty pageants. Chanique Rabe, a 24-year-old Namibian beauty queen, was named Miss World 2021 in August of this year but the contest was cancelled in 2020 owing to Covid-19.
This year's pageant, dubbed Miss Vietnam Sea and Islands 2022, aims to highlight Vietnamese women's natural beauty to the seas and islands of their country, as well as to promote Vietnamese tourism to our southern neighbours. The final round of the competition is scheduled for October 2022 in Quang Ninh. Headed by Head of Organizing Committee Dam Huong Thuy, SMT Education Investment Joint Stock Company orchestrated the tournament.
The event is also a voice for promoting Vietnam's sea and island tourism, sending out appealing invitations to local and international travellers to enjoy the country's natural beauties. Miss Sea and Island Vietnam, in particular, communicates the idea of conserving the worldwide marine environment.
Furthermore, the contest fosters an atmosphere of interchange, learning, and connection for the program's competitors, assisting each contender to grow in confidence, shine brighter, and assert their place in contemporary society.

Miss Bien Dao 2022 was crowned at Ha Long City, Quang Ninh, a popular tourist area in the country. The actions of the program also encourage the tourist business to grow more firmly following a period of stagnation caused by the Covid-19 epidemic.
The contest judges include well-known cultural and artistic icons such as the following: Head of the Jury - People's Artist Trong Trinh, People's Artist Lan Huong, Doctor of Anthropometry Vu Thi Thu Huong, designer Ly Minh Tuan, Miss Supranational 2013 - Mutya Datul, Johanna...
