DNHN - According to the Ministry of Labour, Invalids, and Social Affairs, 3.4 million workers would benefit from this strategy, with a maximum distribution of VND 6,600 billion. Currently, the Ministry of Labour, Invalids, and Social Affairs is asking municipalities to expedite the distribution of the employee housing assistance package.

According to the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs (LOL-Invalids and Social Affairs), 51 provinces have applied to execute Prime Minister's Decision No. 08/2022/QD-TTg dated March 28 requiring the implementation of support programs rent for workers.
The District People's Committee received paperwork from 21,792 firms with 1,075,561 workers, and the requested investment is about 669.5 billion VND. The list has been approved after 8,770 businesses, totalling 670.259 workers, were evaluated. Notably, 3,391 firms with 252,560 workers have received applications up to this point. Employees have so received more than 150.8 billion VND.
According to the HCM City Social Insurance, from July 18 to 22, an additional 2,270 units and companies completed processes to certify membership in social insurance for 87,950 workers to receive rent assistance under Decision 08/2022/QD-TTg. To date, the total number of units carrying out processes to certify the list of social insurance participants has been 21,996 firms with 771,256 workers.
725,768 people are now employed, and 45,488 have returned to the labour force. Thus, even though 1,097,865 workers are qualified for rent assistance, according to a study conducted by the Department of Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs in Ho Chi Minh City, 326,609 employees have not completed the processes for applying for the policy as required.
According to the HCM City Social Security Administration, by the end of August 15, 2022, units and enterprises must carry out processes to confirm the list of social insurance participants to complete the procedures for requesting rent assistance for workers.
Units and enterprises can send a list of employees to the social insurance agency (where social insurance collection is managed) via electronic transactions, the Public Service Portal of Vietnam Social Insurance, the National Public Service Portal, or a paper application via service postage, and the data file can be sent to the unit's manager's email or Zalo address.
If the unit or organization compiles the dossier for the incorrect individual as instructed and delays in submitting the dossier, hurting the employee's interests, it must accept full responsibility.
