Kyungbuk Forum in Korea was held successfully.

DNHN - This special forum is a significant opportunity to promote cultural exchange and tourism between Korea and Vietnam, making Bonghwa-gun an essential foundation for the development of bilateral relations between the two nations.

Hankook Ilbo and Bonghwa-gun hosted Kyungbuk Forum in Bonghwa-gun, Kyungsangbuk-do, South Korea on September 21, 2023.

This special forum is a significant opportunity to promote cultural exchange and tourism between Korea and Vietnam, making Bonghwa-gun an essential foundation for the development of bilateral relations between the two nations. Bonghwa-gun is also home to historical sites such as Chunghyo-dang and the grave of the Vietnamese Ly Dynasty-descended Hwasan Lee family. Besides, at the same time, organize the Forum "Undiscovered Landscapes" to promote Korean-Vietnamese cultural exchange and develop this area as a new destination to attract tourists.

It is known that the Vietnamese village development project that began in 2018 has been upgraded to the K-Vietnam Valley development project and is expected to contribute significantly to the growth of the relationship between the two countries.

In response to Chairman Kwon Jae-Haeng's invitation, Vietnamese Ambassador to Korea Nguyen Vu Tung - First Secretary of Vietnam in Korea attended this Forum. The ambassador stated, "We will actively support the K-Vietnam Valley development project for the benefit of both countries."

Daejong Lee Hoon Chairman of the Hwasan Lee Family, Lee Geun-seon, Hwasan Lee Chairman of the Bonghwa Family Family Association, Bonghwa District Governor, Bonghwa District Council Chairman, Bonghwa District Legislators, Executive Governor Kyungsangbuk-do Provincial Government, Chairman of Kyungsangbuk-do Tourism Organisation, Director Park Hang-seo, Minister of Culture and Tourism, members of the Bonghwa-gun and Vietnam have expressed interest in future collaboration.
