DNHN - Alongside the familiar spiritual nourishment of Tao Quan, this year’s impressive Tet programme has added Hoa Xuân Ca (Spring Melody) - a special grand concert organised by Vietnam Television and VPBank, leaving a deep impression on the audience.
A national-scale grand concert
With a grand concert, the line-up is something that any audience would look forward to. In addition, a line-up featuring top stars will also demonstrate the programme’s class. With popular music shows, a list of up to 5 participating stars is already impressive, but with Hoa Xuân Ca organised by VTV and VPBank, that number is close to 30.
Nearly 30 leading Vietnamese artists, from singers that have affirmed their position over many years such as My Tam, Ha Tran, and Thu Phuong to the most popular “rookies” today such as MONO, Tang Duy Tan, etc.; from top singers such as Ho Quynh Huong to trend-setting goddess Hoang Thuy Linh or entertainment queen Ho Ngoc Ha; from the strong rock music of Hoang Hai - Uyen Linh to Den Vau’s rap, Phuong My Chi’s folk music or ballad princess Hoa Minzy, etc. all gathered at the programme with elaborate and colourful performances.
In addition, there is a unique stage with eye-catching visuals by director Pham Hoang Nam’s team, along with new, strange harmonies conjured up by musician Tran Thanh Phuong. It can be said that many of the “quintessence” of Vietnamese showbiz have gathered at one point, which is Hoa Xuân Ca.
Besides the dream line-up, what makes Hoa Xuân Ca 2024 reach the level of a national-scale grand concert is the depth of emotion and the meaningful, humane messages that this programme spreads. With the theme of Homeland, Hoa Xuân Ca delicately selects a song list from the old to the modern, but all share the spirit of evoking love for family, hometown, and people such as “Ôi quê tôi”, “Cố Hương”, “Bài ca Đất Phương Nam”, Medley “Nước ngoài - Đường Xa Tuyết Trắng”… Intertwined with the melodies of the homeland are short reports about the homesickness of expatriates, or the happiness of returning to their roots, with their families of stars such as Phan Manh Quynh, My Tam or Isaac. All are elaborately staged, dedicated to every detail, fully recreating the atmosphere of Tet in Vietnam in all parts of the country, from the North with the Nghe Tinh folk songs, through the Central Highlands with the radiant sunshine, to the prosperous South, and even the snowy Tet in a foreign land. Those profound sounds and stories have touched the deepest emotions of millions of viewers, evoking sacred feelings for their homeland, country and family, so that from there, each person feels more love and cherishes the days of Tet reunion as well as wants to cherish and preserve the cultural features imbued with Vietnamese identity.
A representative of VPBank - the only sponsor accompanying the programme - said, “Tet is always a particularly sacred time for Vietnamese people, and we have long wanted to do something as special as Hoa Xuân Ca 2024 - a national-scale art programme with the highest quality and also a gift of spiritual prosperity imbued with Vietnamese identity”. According to this representative, by accompanying Hoa Xuân Ca 2024, VPBank hopes to spread the warm, sacred emotions of the hometown Tet to the bank’s 30 million customers in particular as well as all Vietnamese people around the world, evoking love, pride in a prosperous and flourishing Vietnam.
VPBank extends the marks of prosperity
Hoa Xuân Ca 2024 has become the next outstanding mark of VPBank, extending the chain of high-profile, large-scale cultural and artistic events that have marked VPBank in recent years. With the mission “For a prosperous Vietnam”, VPBank has always strived to create cultural, artistic and sporting events for Vietnamese people, to encourage and spread positive energy, humane values, and sustainability to the community.
From 2013 to the present, VPBank has been a banking brand associated with large-scale music nights bringing global stars to Vietnamese audiences such as Richard Clayderman, Kenny G or most recently Westlife with two nights of performances in Vietnam. The bank is also a prestigious name in the running community with nearly 10 years of association with the Vietnamese running movement, organising 11 major races attracting nearly 60,000 participants such as VPBank Hanoi Marathon, VPBank Hanoi International Marathon and soon VPBank VnExpress Marathon Ho Chi Minh City Midnight 2024, VPBank Can Tho Music Night Run…
In 2022, as soon as Vietnam declared the period of “new normal” after the pandemic, VPBank was also the first brand to organise a free, grand music show to motivate and encourage the Vietnamese spirit to always be optimistic, resilient and steadfast in the face of difficulties.
Firmly adhering to the values of spiritual prosperity, and community prosperity, VPBank once again scored with millions of viewers when it continued to associate its name with a prominent, meaningful and far-reaching artistic event like Hoa Xuân Ca 2024. Many television viewers may not know that the song “We are the family” performed by Uyen Linh and Hoang Hai near the end of the Hoa Xuân Ca programme is the song composed exclusively for VPBank, with the visuals being the bank’s employees on a voluntary journey to build nearly 40 schools in difficult circumstances throughout the country. According to a bank representative, in recent years, VPBank has contributed nearly VND1,400 billion to social welfare work, focusing mainly on education and healthcare.
Indeed, with the elaborate investment in ideas and forms of expression, along with the profound, humane content, Hoa Xuân Ca 2024 by VPBank and VTV has brought about a prosperous and meaningful spring opening.
