DNHN - In 2024, Thanh Hoa Provincial Business Association aims to connect and network with businesses in the province. Businesses meet each other on many business trips but have never visited each other, so they have not had the opportunity to cooperate.
Strengthening connections and investment in the province
Networking and investment promotion are the core tasks of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Business Association. Over the years, the Association has connected and exchanged experiences with many countries around the world and many provinces and cities in the country. The business trips have all brought about positive results that have been highly appreciated by the provincial leaders as well as the business associations of the partner provinces and cities.
Continuing those successes, in 2024, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Business Association aims to connect and network with businesses in the province. Businesses meet each other on many business trips but have never visited each other, so they have not had the opportunity to cooperate. Moreover, this is a time when businesses are facing many difficulties, so it is even more necessary to unite, share, network, and join hands to support each other for mutual development.
To kick off the networking activities with businesses in the province, the Association organised a ceremony to offer incense at the Nua Temple - Am Tien National Historical and Cultural Relic Site; and held a seminar and networking event for entrepreneurs in Trieu Son District in the afternoon of March 14. The delegation was accompanied by associations, unions, and many businesses in the province.
In the solemn atmosphere at the Nua Am Tien National Historical and Cultural Relic Site, the delegates respectfully offered incense, commemorating the merits of the national heroine Trieu Thi Trinh and the ancestors who sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the nation. This is also one of the three most sacred acupuncture points in the country (besides the acupuncture point at Da Chong Mountain, Ba Vi District, Hanoi City and the acupuncture point at Ba Den Mountain, Tay Ninh Province).
Following that, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Business Association, in coordination with the Trieu Son District Business Association, organised a seminar to connect entrepreneurs.
At the seminar, Mr Nguyen Xuan Hung, Vice Chairman of the Business Association, Chairman of the Young Entrepreneurs Association of Thanh Hoa Province, and Head of the delegation, said: Trieu Son is a locality with many advantages to attract investment, as well as diverse industries. This is also an opportunity for many businesses in the province and outside the province to invest, and the business community of Trieu Son District has the opportunity to cooperate.
Mr Nguyen Xuan Hung emphasised: “I hope that at this seminar, businesses will discuss and exchange many contents about business lines, potential, opportunities for cooperation, investment, and market expansion; the potential, advantages, policies, and major orientations of Trieu Son District in attracting investment and developing socio-economy. Businesses also exchange and share experiences in production and business and the operation of business associations. I hope that in 2024, many projects will be signed and cooperated in Trieu Son.”
Mr Le Van Hai, Deputy Director of Viettel Trieu Son Branch, shared that we hope to have many networking programmes so that many businesses in the district have the opportunity to promote trade, invest, and cooperate. In the district lines in Thanh Hoa Province, most of them are small and micro enterprises, as well as many newly established enterprises, seeking business and start-up opportunities. Therefore, it is very necessary to have connections and promotions to create momentum as an internal force for the business community in the province to produce and trade together.
Mr Nguyen Minh Hai, Vice Chairman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Business Association, whose business has many investment projects in Trieu Son, affirmed: The leaders of Trieu Son District are dynamic and enthusiastic, and our company has invested, is investing, and will continue to invest in the district. Mr Hai proposed that to continue to be the best “midwife” for newly established businesses, Trieu Son District should have clean land for businesses to bid on. If small and micro enterprises are allowed to bid for the entire package, it will be extremely difficult for them to survive.
Mr Vu Duc Nhiem, Vice Chairman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Business Association, said that in 2023, in the context of many difficulties and challenges in the country and the province, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Business Association continues to enhance its role and responsibility, as a bridge representing the voice and legitimate interests of businesses; to build and foster a relationship of solidarity, cooperation, and mutual support among businesses; to promptly disseminate the Party’s policies, the State’s laws and policies, and the policies to support businesses of the Central Government and the locality, to raise awareness and understanding of the law among the business community, and to create a favourable environment for investment and development of production and business following the law.
Mr Vu Duc Nhiem shared: “Our business has been established and developed for 30 years and has gone through many stages and many ups and downs. We must follow the law of nature, no one is born and can stand up and walk right away. I advise newly established businesses to be very cautious, especially at a time when everything is very difficult like now. You should go steadily and surely, not in a hurry, and comply with the provisions of the law.”
Representing the business community of Trieu Son District, Mr Le Minh Hai, Chairman of the Association, said: Currently, more than 700 businesses are operating in the district, which have made and are making important contributions to the socio-economic development of the district. In 2023, the revenue of businesses reached nearly VND 1,792 billion; the total contribution to the state budget reached nearly VND 50.7 billion. The District Business Association has constantly innovated its operation methods; in 2023, it admitted 26 more members and played a good role in connecting and, in particular, protecting the legitimate rights and interests of businesses. In recent years, the number of businesses in Trieu Son District has increased rapidly, but most of the businesses in the district are small in scale, have low capital, high production costs, limited product quality, and weak competitiveness; the number of businesses operating at a standstill is still large, and some businesses lack distribution and marketing networks, making it difficult to directly access the market. Not many businesses have breakthrough business and production strategies; not many businesses and entrepreneurs have big brands. Therefore, building a team of strong businesses in terms of quantity, quality, effective operation, high competitiveness, and social responsibility is a particularly important goal.
Efforts to develop members
Mr Pham Van Duc, Head of the Membership Development Department of the Thanh Hoa City Business Association, shared: To develop many members, the Association must establish a membership development department. The head of the department is a dedicated person, willing to sacrifice, and ready to go to businesses to survey and learn. The City Business Association has visited and asked businesses: “What do you most want when you become a member”? Our members are divided into Zalo groups belonging to the same industry for convenient work exchange. The Association also encourages member businesses to use each other’s products. The output of this business will be the input of that business. We always have a ceremony to honour member businesses every month and every quarter. Those events all bring many business opportunities to businesses. They are also willing to share quality relationships in society thanks to these meetings. Gradually, members see the value of participating in the association’s work and the effectiveness of becoming a member of the Association’s common home. This is like the old saying “A fragrant flower does not need the wind to carry its fragrance”, thanks to that, the number of applications to join the Association is increasing.
Mr Trinh Xuan Luong, Standing Vice Chairman of Bim Son Business Association, said: We have 246 members. In the coming time, the association will continue to strengthen its propaganda work to recruit new members. To carry out the work of encouraging and motivating members. To organise visits and work at some member businesses to survey the production and business situation, and grasp the difficulties and obstacles to develop a support and resolution plan. At the same time, to develop a plan to survey the training and development needs of businesses. Thereby, building the Provincial Business Association stronger and stronger, quickly helping the business community overcome the difficult period, and contributing to the overall development of the homeland.
Also at the seminar, the delegates attending agreed that Trieu Son is a sacred land, converging with favourable weather, terrain, and people. Based on the fact that “Traders have friends, sellers have guilds”, many businesses in the same industry will be interested in and invest in learning about each other. In this day and age, businesses all affirm that they must be flexible and creative to make money in many ways, not at all costs. Businesses have shared the same track, each person is a link in the race of the market, so they cannot do it when they like and stop when they don’t.
On behalf of the leaders of Trieu Son District, Mr Le Phu Quoc, Vice Chairman of the District People’s Committee, said that Trieu Son has achieved many important goals, partly due to the contributions of businesses in the province as well as in the district. In addition to taking care of production and business, businesses also actively care about social security work, building new rural areas, and creating jobs for workers.
“We are very touched and sincerely thank the entrepreneurs for coming to network and connect in the locality. We sincerely hope that with all their enthusiasm and determination, the business community and entrepreneurs will overcome difficulties and challenges, promote production and business development, and seek investment opportunities in Trieu Son District. The leaders of Trieu District are committed to always standing side by side with businesses and entrepreneurs in the province and the district when developing the economy and investing in the locality”, said Mr Le Phu Quoc.
The Seminar on Connecting Entrepreneurs in Trieu Son is part of the 2024 work programme and a series of trade promotion events chaired by the Provincial Business Association. With the aim of networking, learning, cooperating, and connecting businesses and entrepreneurs in the province, this will be a great opportunity for Trieu Son District in particular and districts, towns, and cities in the province in general, to spread their strengths, needs, and potential for economic development.
