Former Secretary-General of the National Assembly Nguyen Hanh Phuc was nominated to Vinamilk's Board of Directors

DNHN - Vietnam Dairy Products Joint Stock Company (Vinamilk, HoSE: VNM) has just announced the AGM documents, notably the list of candidates for the Board of Directors for the term 2022-2026 with the presence of Mr Nguyen Hanh Phuc, an independent candidate, used to hold the position of Secretary-General of the National Assembly.
The list of candidates for the Board of Directors of Vinamilk next term includes 10 members, of which 9 former members include Mr Alain Xavier Cany, Ms Dang Thi Thu Ha, Mr Do Le Hung, Mr Le Thanh Liem, Ms Mai Kieu Lien, Mr Lee Meng Tat, Mr Michael Chye Hin Fah, Mr Hoang Ngoc Thach and Ms Tieu Yen Trinh. The newly introduced member is Mr Nguyen Hanh Phuc.
According to the resume published by Vinamilk, Mr Phuc was born in 1959. Mr Nguyen Mrh Phuc used to hold many positions in Thai Binh province and the National Assembly.
Specifically, from 1984/201to 1to, Mr Nguyen Hanh Phuc held many positions in Thai Binh province such as Secretary of the City Party Committee, and Chairman of the City People's Council. From 2011-to 2021, Mr Nguyen Hanh Phuc held many positions in the National Assembly such as a member of the National Assembly Party Committee, member of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Chairman of the Office of the National Assembly, Secretary-General of the National Assembly, Chief of Staff Office of the Party Committee of the National Assembly, Chairman of the Vietnam - Australia Friendship Parliamentary Group...
From January 2016, he became the theSecretGeneralrall of the National Assembly until his retirement in November 2021. Up to now, he was introduced to the Board of Directors of Vinamilk for the 2017-2021 term by the Board of Directors of Vinamilk for the new term.
Business plan in 2022 Vinamilk aims to increase total revenue by nearly 5% to 64,070 billion VND. However, after-tax profit is expected to be VND 9,770 billion, down 8% compared to 2021.
At Vinamilk, in the shareholder structure, the State Capital Investment Corporation (SCIC) is the largest shareholder owning 36% of the capital. Followed by F&N Dairy Investments Pte with 17.31% and Platinum Victory Pte with 10.62% of capital.
Domestic investors own 40.79per cent of the enterprise capital, while foreign investors own 59.21 per cent.
Vinamilk's top twenty shareholders control 80.68per cent of the company's capital. Along with the three major shareholders mentioned previously, VNM is also backed by several professional investment funds, including the Mathews fund group, the Genesis fund group, Deutsche Bank, Vietnam Ventures, and stand the Government of Singapoand re, the Dragon Capital group, and the Morgan Stanley group.
