AK FOOD supports Northern Vietnam residents in overcoming Typhoon Yagi

DNHN - In a journey spanning 2,000 kilometers from Ho Chi Minh City to Northern Vietnam, AK Food brought gifts to 501 households in five villages of Viet Thanh Commune, Tran Yen District, Yen Bai Province, with a total value of 525 million VND.

On September 20, 2024, AK Food, the company behind the Cay Thi food brand, undertook a meaningful trip to Viet Thanh Commune, Tran Yen District, Yen Bai Province, to support local residents in the aftermath of Typhoon Yagi.

This was not just an ordinary trip but a mission to bring love and compassion to those in need after the storm had passed.

Nguyen Thi Thu, general director of AK Food, shared that the people of Yen Bai are currently facing numerous challenges after Typhoon Yagi, which not only destroyed infrastructure but also severely impacted their livelihoods. This made the journey even more meaningful, as AK Food could bring a little joy and hope to those struggling with the storm’s aftermath.

Specifically, AK Food directly donated 8,000 packs of porridge, 3 tons of rice, 400 bottles of medicated oil, and 500 sets of warm clothing, with a total value of 525 million VND, to 501 households in the five villages of Dong Phuc, Dong Phu, Phu My, Phu Lan, and Phu Tho in Viet Thanh Commune, Tran Yen District, Yen Bai Province.

“These gifts are not just material donations but also a reflection of the hearts of all AK Food employees, with the hope of sending trust and optimism to the families affected by the storm. The handshakes, the sparkling eyes filled with joy, and the touching stories from the people made us realize that in every hardship, love remains the greatest strength. This is the motivation that helps the locals overcome difficulties and continue to stand firm in the face of life's challenges,” Mrs. Thu shared.

In addition to supporting disadvantaged households, AK Food also emphasized the importance of raising community awareness and encouraging a spirit of sharing and mutual assistance.
